This headline is about 30 or 40 years out of date and points to a wider problem: the crass caricaturing of America and the peddling of old stereotypes. Football - or soccer - is massive in the US. It’s overtaken baseball as the country’s third favourite sport.

Elon employs ~160,000 Americans and in one morning created thousands of millionaires… You have done nothing for America.
Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. The typical American household would have to work more than 11 MILLION years to make Elon Musk's level of wealth. We need a wealth tax.

Be brutally honest: Are you deeply outraged that, while hundreds of millions of Americans and I are struggling financially, @elonmusk has just now become the world's first trillionaire, with more wealth than he could spend in 1,000 lifetimes? Yes or no?

The timing of this World Cup’s major matches has been extremely unfriendly to Chinese viewers. In Hangzhou, a local business organized a watch party for the opening match and sent out more than 4,000 invitations. However, because the game kicked off at 3 a.m. Beijing time, not a single person showed up. Given China’s enormous viewing market, the World Cup should adjust its schedule to make live broadcasts more convenient for Chinese audiences.

Hey @Amtrak / I'm on the 2250 Acela to Boston and we've been stuck outside Old Saybrook for 45 minutes. The train is full of fans headed to Boston for the World Cup game, many of whom have flown from Scotland. Are they going to miss their game tonight?? Have a heart and get this train moving.....

The USMNT surprised me yesterday with their uninhibited, joyous, optimistic, and yes, skilful, play. Paraguay may have been a weird country for many decades (four decades of Stroessner!), but it's far from being a joke football team. Last night's win tells us that the American boys will go far in #WC2026. The quarters beckon.

Who ever made this is a genious. Please share.
Trump is a total loser. His Legacy will not be a President of Peace nor a President of Victory. He almost won. But chose to give the IRGC victory in terms of the funds they need so much. Any deal with this regime is worse than the Obama agreement. The IRGC is just buying time. .@POTUS .@WhiteHouse .@SecRubio .@SecWar

They riot after every @nyknicks game in NYC; people are getting mugged; Jewish New Yorkers harassed by leftist freaks and he’s tweeting about @elonmusk creating something (miles above his bandwidth, btw)) and making money while he employs lots of people. coincidence?
Reason #1,000,000,000,000 why we should tax the rich.

In our political age of envy, the press and Democrats are preoccupied by Elon Musk’s otherworldly wealth. But he has enriched the country by building a remarkable company. wsj.com/opinion/elon-musk-tr… via @WSJopinion

California is not only allowing ballots to be counted a week after election day, but even ballots without postmarks. Eventually, you will be able to vote by just shouting out the window of your car at any election official...

The way our San Antonio Spurs and their fans have been treated in New York City has been disgraceful. I realize it’s a small slice of the New York fan base that’s responsible but goddamn.

A 17-year-old boy was beaten into a coma near Madison Square Garden following Game 4 of the NBA Finals, New York City police said Friday while releasing a photo of a suspect sought in connection with the assault. abcnews.link/Sgh32pa

The victim was a Knicks fan beaten by a Spurs supporter yelling "Spurs in 7," contrary to the implication that Spurs fans were attacked. nypost.com/2026/06/12/us-… people.com/teen-beaten-in…
