So I've been exploring the other site (🐘) a lot over the last week or so and it's been a very interesting journey.
There's still a lot of accounts over here that I really enjoy following, but I see what's happening on 🐘 as the future, there's real energy and excitement.

I don't think this platform will disappear anytime soon, but with all the recent chaos and questionable reactionary policies, it feels like we're on the far side of the hump of relevance.

It just doesn't feel great to have the platform itself being the biggest topic of conversation day in and day out.
I really hope things get sorted out and improve, but I'm also hopeful for a future where everything isn't controlled by one company and works more like a utility.

Used it for a bit for @ShepherdFarming and it was alright, had a lot of potential that I never felt like it really explored. Probably would have been better served by @substack to be honest.

We know that a large part of this is due to the very long cycles that agriculture has that other sectors don’t, but even still, is it a good thing that we are so dependent on outside cash to keep going?
What happens when something like this occurs? Do we just reset progress?

I read in @AppleBooks nearly every single night and the changes that were made in #iOS16 have universally been for the worse.

And my least favorite…
3️⃣ The error that pops up when opening a book saying it couldn’t be opened and asking to retry.
This never used to happen and now feels like I’m loading a poorly optimized webpage instead of cracking open where I left off in my favorite story.

Good on The @verge for calling this out.
The @AppleBooks app did so much right and as far as I can see, none of the changes that came out this year fix anything that was broken and break quite a few important things in the process.
I really hope it gets better. 🙏🏼
