Spielberg is not naive, he’s optimistic. I suppose you could argue optimism in this current hellworld moment is its own form of naivety. But when you spend your entire life bringing people together with a little bit of magic, you tend to hope for the best.

I'm not surprised that the reactions to Disclosure Day are getting more polarizing as more people see it. However, it really disappoints me that the rampant cynicism polluting the online space is robbing people of feeling just an ounce of this film's abundant sincerity.

Disclosure Day was not good. For a movie that was two and a half hours, nothing really happened during it. I kept waiting for a payoff and bupkis. I’m bummed cause I was hoping this was gonna be Spielberg’s comeback
