We run cohort based courses with hundreds of people per cohort. Some people say you can't scale CBCs like this while keeping quality high. Our numbers tell a different story. 🧵 Here are 10 things we do to scale cohort based courses while keeping quality high:

This headline today reads shocking, but will soon enough be a nothingburger: When AI generates most code and more config files as well, most outages caused will be *technically* done by AI. In reality they happen thanks to inadequate verification/monitoring/rollback systems

Impressive paper: - Uses LLM to generate believable simulations of human agents - Enables agents to have long term memory, reflect and plan - Observes complex emergent behaviour among agents (e.g. cooperative organisation of a party from a single prompt!) arxiv.org/abs/2304.03442

Confident that we can get to proper AGI with LLMs. Give a powerful LLM (maybe GPT5?) the ability to: 1) Interact with the world (OpenAI plugins) 2) Take multimodal input 3) Store and retrieve data (maybe just a plugin) 4) Make it prompt itself

Twitter’s new algorithm feels a bit broken. It shows a ton of tweets from the same account after each other.

For 2022, my only resolution was to use my phone less. The goal was <60 minutes average screen time on my phone for the year of 2022. I ended on ~54 minutes, and I am quite happy with the result.

The hardest part is all the small things. Checking a recipe while cooking, shopping list app, maps, checking time, etc. I would image that this alone accounted for half of the time spent.

I am trying to move from @gumroad to @lemonsqueezy. Is it okay if I use you as support for now @dr? 1) How do I invite team members? 2) I want to set up Zapier to trigger on new orders. I have no orders yet. When I go to Orders, I am just told to add products, which I already did?

Instructional design is understanding how people learn and creating the right environment for them to do so. Create the right context, and success will come naturally.

I can’t grasp why anyone is doing anything else today than thinking about ChatGPT.

You can't speed up the process. But you can change the environment. Surround yourself with people that make you think, listen, and observe. The best way to learn is through environment, not instruction.
Find someone better than you, and learn from them. Surround yourself with diverse thinkers, and broaden your horizons. The fastest way to learn is to learn from others.

The fastest way to learn is by teaching. Find what you don't know, build something to explain it to others, and watch yourself become an expert along the way.
I just used ChatGPT to write a SEO-optimized blog post in under 7 minutes. The ability to guide it and keep consistency is superb. youtube.com/watch?v=FGezYrLB…

Stop looking for the perfect tutorial. Stop reading the comments. Start doing the exercises. The answers are in your actions.
Online education isn't about learning faster. It's about learning smarter. Choose topics that move you. Find creators that excite you. Work on projects that challenge you. Enjoy the journey, and be passionate about the little details.

I just gave ChatGPT an exercise from my university course on algorithms and data structures. Solves it perfectly 🤯
