an hour of checks saves a day of revisions. check your edits in 4 stages: 1. editor mode (fix technical mistakes) 2. audio mode (hide video listen for pacing issues) 3. baby mode (check all text slowly like a baby) 4. viewer mode (watch like its your first time watching)

4 steps to get infinite editing clients. 1) outreach more 2) overdeliver 3) post the work 4) repeat. Simple in theory. Hard part is doing it long enough to see compounding results.

Edit for creators with a business behind the channel. Sponsors, infoproduct, clothing brand, it doesn't matter. A kid making gaming videos couldn't imagine spending $1000 on a video that makes $10 in adsense. The business-backed creator sees the bigger picture.

10 videos a month at $1000 = $10k/mo 4 videos a month at $2500 = $10k/mo 1 video a month at $10,000 = $10k/mo Do the maths for your goals. And charge accordingly.

Stop posting practice edits. You're actively advertising that you have no clients.

I've seen editors post about getting high paying clients... And BTS they're charging $100 a video & making $1k/mo. You'll make more by just showing your work and responding to leads quickly.

Every editors I've seen hit $10k/mo had one thing in common. They worked despite having shit days. Stop being cute, it's okay to work while tired.

Yes. Better animations do mean you can charge more. Don't let any editing guru tell you otherwise.

Aron's a video editor at $10k/mo. He recorded a 1hr 22m video on his lessons. The biggest one? Stop solving problems that don't exist. You're scared of burnout and worried about outsourcing... when you struggle to get clients consistently. Fix one problem at a time.

To be a better editor, expose yourself to better work. You can only create what you believe is possible.
