“It’s funny how @LGUSSupport’s customer service waiting tone keeps reminding me how important my time is… while they kept me on hold for 3 hours to solve a delivery THEY missed.” 1/9

9/9 This has honestly been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with a major company with an international reputation! LG, you can do better. Customers deserve better. @LGUSSupport — waiting for your response.

This is an interesting comparison. $60k in St. Louis equals to $150k in NYC. So extra $10k really won’t make much difference. We need bigger solutions (or everyone should come for postdoc at @WUSTL 😉)
Raising postdoc salaries by 10k or even 15k won’t solve the problem. But if schools step in and provide subsidized housing and free childcare, it will have a real impact. @NIH could make a difference if indirects would be allowed for childcare and housing.

One reviewer said, “The study highlights a new guidance mechanism that may act in parallel, or be accessory to, the well known factors acting in chiasm formation.” Full peer review history: journals.biologists.com/dev/…

Losing either Cxcl12 or its receptor, Cxcr4, results in the misrouting of crossing axons at the midline, leading to a birth defect in the visual pathway. This classic axon guidance experiment revealed the solid phenotype we studied, one of my fav figures to make! @Co_Biologists

A festive vibe with Pints and Postdocs by @PDLCCSHL1 . It has been a successful year in expanding the social connection across postdocs. I'm extremely grateful to be a part of this team with @DeeptimanChatt2 @mKate588 @BioJlynn . It was a lot of hard work but a lot of fun!
