Seeking higher ground, this slime mold plasmodium climbed up onto a dirt clod, toppled it, then retreated. Did the trauma of toppling have an effect? Did it retreat simply because it failed to maintain the high ground, or some other reason? Speed: 120x-5000x. #Myxomycetes

たくあんみたいなキノコを食べに来ていたトビムシ キノコをというよりはそこから出た胞子を食べてるように見える。 やわらかそうな質感の無防備なボディでヨチヨチ歩いている様子はこれで大丈夫なのか？と少し心配になるけど、そこが可愛いなと惹かれる要素なのだろうなあ…

もう柴犬はなさんがいないので、十和田湖周辺へゆっくり粘菌撮影に行ってきました。それにしても、まあ、キララホコリの美しいこと。直径１mmの粘菌に心を奪われてしまいました。小人の職人が、子実体の表面に、金で細工を施しているに違いありません！

ナミウチツノホコリの白い森が出来上がる様子(子実体形成のタイムラプス) どんどん枝分かれしていく様子が分かるけど、これを見ると樹木の枝分かれの仕方も気になってくる。

Remarkable satellite imagery this AM in NorCal/OR. #McKinneyFire exploded last night, generating massive pyrocumulonimbus cloud ~50,000 ft tall (!!). You can see smoke at two different heights: most in troposphere, but some (possibly) injected into stratosphere (!). #CAwx #CAfire

ドングリの穴がだいぶ大きくなってからでも40分以上掛かっていたので、穴の開け始めからだと1時間くらいかかってるかも。 と、言う事で40分以上の穴あけ作業を倍速をかけまくって短くしました🙂 途中頭が通るか確認して、またかじり始める動作もあって可愛かったです😂 #幼虫
