We are told by the AEC that the Lib Govt still haven’t signed the reg allowing all COVID isolating people to vote by phone. Despite the PM saying this morning this issue had been fixed. We publicly raised this issue on Monday… Hopefully they fix this mess ASAP. #auspol

Eligibility for telephone voting has now formally changed following our recommendation early this morning. People who have tested positive to COVID-19 after 6pm on Friday 13 May are now eligible.

Note this is not the AEC’s doing. The Government makes the rules and decided to limit phone voting to 4 days despite 7 days of isolation. And despite Morrison saying he fixed it this morning, he’s off campaigning around Perth while people still can’t vote. #auspol

As of 1 January 2022, WA have only 35 active cases (11 are of the Omicron strain).
In SA we currently have almost 11,000 active cases.
