UPDATE: POLICE ISSUE STATEMENT AFTER ARREST VIDEO CIRCULATES ONLINE
South Yorkshire Police have issued a statement after footage of an arrest during Saturday's protest in Sheffield began circulating on social media.
Police say officers used force to detain a 17-year-old boy following an alleged assault on a police officer. The teenager was later de-arrested so he could receive medical treatment in hospital for injuries sustained during the incident, before reportedly discharging himself.

In line with standard procedure, a referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which will now assess the circumstances surrounding the incident.
