We used to start and stop our days with sunrises and sunsets. We once rested when the sun laid its head below the horizon. Now we work into the dark, driven to create our own light at night. We weren’t meant to be constantly lit.

Remember this. Was so proud of a fellow @Skyline_Raiders alum that day. Years later, I was living in Marin Co., Ca. Saw @MJGold across a parking lot. Was too nervous to approach him. Instead, like a dork, I shouted, "Skyline!". He looked up. Smiled at me and nodded like a champ.

Henry Nolatubby, a Chickasaw, died for the country aboard the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor on on this day in 1941. He has the sad distinction of being the first of nearly 500 Native American servicemen to make this sacrifice during WW2

Buddy Harrison, a fixture in the D.C. boxing community, was shot and killed on Saturday. He helped people in and out of the ring. Tonight, I caught up with a father and son who trained with Buddy for more than a decade to get a sense of the impact he had.

I'm gutted by this. Buddy was a gift to the city and looked to make DC a better place through investing in young people through boxing. Praying for the Harrison family , especially Dusty who is slated to fight in a few days and the entire Old School Boxing family.
