‘EVIL DEAD WRATH’ is set in 1972 nearly a decade before the events of The Evil Dead making it a prequel that predates everything we’ve seen in the franchise so far.

Yuraq Rumi, also know as Ñusta Hispana is a site that few people visit because of its remoteness. It is about a 6-hour drive west of Cusco.
It’s been on my list for years and I finally had a chance to go there last week.
This imposing monolith of white granite (covered with black fungus), whose name means "White Rock" in Quechua, is as mysterious as it is mind-blowing, given the apparent randomness and precision of all these cuts in such hard rock.
I was lucky enough to visit while archaeological excavations were underway. Two new excavation pits are set to open this week, including one at the base of the monolith, as indicated by the white strings visible on the ground.
Archaeologists have already found metal artifacts buried in the ground.
I'll do my best to keep you updated on any new discoveries coming out of this exciting project.

Whoahhh! This is one of the strangest things an earthquake can do. As the M7.8 earthquake hit the Philippines last week, the ground in this video appears to move almost like liquid.
👀 (Watch until the end)
This can happen because of liquefaction. It's when intense shaking causes water trapped in loose soil to build up pressure, making solid ground temporarily lose its strength and behave more like a fluid.
It’s why people can struggle to stand, and why areas near water with loose, saturated soil can see the ground ripple, sink or even “flow” during powerful earthquakes.

🚨 THIS JOKER RANT IS GOING VIRAL FOR A REASON... 🚨
"You're just trying to exist...

Birds can literally see the Earth’s magnetic field thanks to specialized light-sensitive proteins in their eyes.
Migratory birds possess one of nature’s most remarkable superpowers: the ability to navigate thousands of miles with incredible precision. At the center of this ability is a protein called Cry4 (cryptochrome 4), found in the retinas of their eyes.
When blue light enters the bird’s eye, it triggers a quantum reaction in the Cry4 proteins known as the radical pair mechanism. This ultra-sensitive process responds to the orientation and strength of the Earth’s magnetic field, essentially turning the bird’s visual system into a biological compass.
Scientists believe birds don’t just sense magnetism — they may actually see it. The quantum fluctuations likely appear as subtle visual patterns, shadows, or color gradients overlaid on their normal vision, much like an augmented reality heads-up display.
This extraordinary adaptation allows migratory birds to cross oceans, deserts, and mountain ranges with pinpoint accuracy, relying on the strange rules of quantum mechanics to guide them on their epic journeys.
Loggerhead sea turtles 🐢 don’t just migrate willy-nilly. As it turns out, they follow a narrow band of ideal chlorophyll and heat levels—which stretches across the Pacific and moves north and south with the seasons!
In honor of #WorldSeaTurtleDay, see how data collected from tagged turtles and @NOAA’s #satellites reveals this migration pattern!

MAGNITUDE 7.8 MINDANAO EARTHQUAKE LEAVES EFFECTS ON THE SEA
The Philippine Space Agency released satellite images of the shoreline shift observed in the coasts of Sarangani after the destructive magnitude 7.8 earthquake on June 8.
On Sunday, the Department of Environment and National Resources said that it will investigate the shift, which left parts of the sea previously underwater exposed and caused the deaths of marine life.

A giant stingray was filmed by a drone, and its size is impressive. This makes me think that if you can see animals of this size in shallow waters, imagine what's hidden in the deep waters of lakes and oceans.
