Michigan seniors spent a lifetime working hard, saving, and doing things the right way. They deserve leaders who will have their backs.
As Attorney General, I went after Medicaid fraud, fought scams that targeted seniors, and took action against rising prescription drug costs. Those efforts helped protect billions of dollars that belonged in the pockets of Michigan seniors, not fraudsters and special interests.
As Governor, I'll continue fighting to protect seniors, lower costs, and make Michigan a place where retirees can thrive.

During last week's Oversight Committee, we pressed Rx Kids on why they have radical activists and Guaranteed Basic Income advocates on their advisory board, and they acted like they knew nothing about it.
Just days after this interaction, they took their advisory board down from their website.
Rx Kids is being directed by radical groups that want to see taxpayers foot the bill for universal/guaranteed basic income for everyone from rich families in Democrat areas to illegal immigrants.

Michigan taxpayers deserve better than a government that allows fraud to spiral out of control.
Under @GovWhitmer , welfare fraud more than doubled in 2024 while state spending continued to grow.
Every dollar lost to fraud is money taken from hardworking taxpayers and diverted away from the people and programs it was meant to serve.
The answer isn't more spending. It's accountability, transparency, and a government that treats taxpayer dollars like they're worth protecting.

Under Michiganās mandated reporter law, school employees generally satisfy their legal obligation by reporting suspected abuse to CPS through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.ā£

Now to be clear: many cases DO eventually involve law enforcement through the CPS process.ā£

But hereās the uncomfortable question:ā£

What happens when institutions decide to do the bare minimum?ā£

Because there is a massive difference between:ā£
āWe complied with the lawā and āWe did everything possible to protect that childā.

And who suffers most when systems become bureaucratic instead of urgent?ā£

Usually not the wealthy family with attorneys, connections, translators, and the ability to pressure institutions.ā£

Itās the child in the poor district.ā£
The child whose parents donāt speak English fluently.ā£
The child whose parent works 3 jobs and doesnāt know how to navigate government systems.ā£
The child with nobody powerful standing in the gap for them.ā£

Thatās where bad actors thrive:ā£

Inside bureaucracy.ā£

Parents deserve transparency.ā£

If Michiganās next governor should be someone who has already proven theyāll protect individual rights, then @JocelynBenson and I finally agree on something.
The problem is that person isnāt Jocelyn Benson.
Protecting individual rights means protecting votersā rights and that means protecting both ballot access and election integrity. Benson has repeatedly been rebuked by Michigan courts for exceeding her authority and issuing election guidance that conflicted with state law.
Just a few examples:
šøCourts struck down her absentee ballot signature-matching guidance.
šøCourts ruled she improperly imposed restrictions on poll challengers without following state law.
šøA judge rejected her guidance directing clerks to count certain absentee ballots that did not comply with statutory requirements.
Michigan voters deserve a governor who follows the lawānot one who keeps getting corrected by judges for trying to rewrite it.
Protecting our republic requires transparency, accountability, and respect for the rule of law. Thatās not Jocelyn Bensonās record.
