Lots of research has gone into figuring out how sell side analysis (ie in IBES) form expectations. But if you read the reports, it turns out they forecast earnings per share and slap on a trailing P/E multiple

Common owners exert monopsony power over labor by reducing aggregate investment and thereby transfer wealth to shareholders.

As inflation surged post-pandemic, the prices of the cheapest products grew 1.3 to 1.9 times faster than those of premium products.
We coined the term "cheapflation" to highlight this disparity, which is present in many countries, including the US (shown below)
Our results imply a higher inflationary burden on lower-income households and bargain shoppers who tried to save money during the surge.
