Can’t have phone signal because of the bike lanes. Glad to see modern conservatism still has such raw intellect at its heart 👍
I’m in Dulwich. One of the more expensive areas of London, supposedly a global city, and I’m getting worse mobile phone reception that I did in Kabul a decade ago. I pay for two contracts: @O2 and @EE and neither is reliable so I can’t work. Mobile phones are useless in vast areas of Britain and have got worse. You can never work on a train, unlike in France. But we’re spending £4.5 billion in bike lanes and crossings. This government is prioritising virtue signalling vanity projects when we need infrastructure urgently.

You literally demanded the world’s leading 5G technology company leave the country - which cost the UK billions as it goes.

We don’t, which is why people call for a “wealth tax” rather than a “bank deposit tax”.
elon being worth $1 trillion does not mean elon has $1 trillion in the bank. most of the people i see arguing for a 5% annual wealth tax appear to be willfully misunderstanding this.

genuinely think your man might resign if Makerfield comes off you know. he has no desire to be LOTO. he doesn’t have the ability to hold a line. he’s spouting off on nonsense because Elon Musk has decided he doesn’t like him.
The mainstream media constantly distorts what I say. You can no longer rely on them to report the truth. That’s why I’ve decided to speak to you directly and launch my essays to Britain. ✍️ Read my first post out tomorrow at 8am. Click below or in my bio to subscribe.

Hard for people who work in or around this stuff to conceive of, but most people in Britain do not give a fuck about AI, you may as well ask why aren’t the BBC writing about the latest update to Microsoft Excel
Britain losing access to Claude fable isn’t on the BBC or Times homepage, 4th on the guardian, 7th on the FT and below the fold on the Telegraph. What are we doing here?

Excellent summary of the mainstream Labour critique of the blank cheque the military political complex are demanding. As I told the BBC and Sky - a country has to be worth fighting for.
The resignations of John Healey and Al Carns are a cynical attempt to make higher military spending the defining priority of Britain’s next government — whatever the cost to welfare, public services and living standards. tribunemag.co.uk/2026/06/bui…

agreed. not to be on brand or anything but where this comes into play for me is that this country invented the co-operative economy but we’ve fallen so far behind. we need to take our lead back. we had such a first movers advantage and squandered it!
does annoy me that nobody is that ambitious for UK. why shouldn’t bbc be best broadcasting network in world? why shouldn’t we be world leader in research, science, technology, industry etc? why should we be so reliant on yanks? it actually isn’t impossible for us to be serious

fortunately co-ops are very good at doing all three of the things in the follow up!

this would be a very good way to waste a lot of money - getting people who don’t want to do something something they don’t need to do. there is little value in a conscript army - that’s why they’re a last resort. a civilian corps for public works incl beautification? i’m pro that
On this debate between defence and welfare spending, what if we don’t have to choose? Why can’t we say NEETs (and indeed those beyond aged 24 - say up to age 35) get 6 or maybe 12 months to find a job (/education/training) after which they would be required to join the armed forces? Refusal would mean forfeiture of all Universal Credit etc. There could be a National Volunteering Corp for those who don’t make the grade for the military or for conscientious objectors etc. Obvious carve outs for those who have a physically disability etc so really can’t work. The point is - none of this is difficult surely, IF we have a government willing to show some tough love?

not as a requirement tho. as ever, we need a job guarantee and a target of full employment.

suspect it’s quite unlikely Restore issue a stand down order this weekend…
Restore supporters starting to arrive for today’s Makerfield canvassing session. Quite a significant queue building.

left slop posters didn’t manage to convince the public that a billion pieces of rice on a table was too many but maybe we’ll have better luck with a trillion

Elon Musk is now a trillionaire. A world of trillionaires is, simultaneously, one where the middle class collapses. Anyone informed on the issue knows as much, but few are willing to accept what that ultimately means - and where we end up. unherd.com/2026/06/the-right…

this has made me feel an odd patriotism to Europe seeing someone perform this weird nonsense. we have stadiums in Europe!
This is the most “The European mind can’t comprehend this” moment of my life. One of my friends said, “Punch me five times tomorrow and I’ll still think this isn’t real.”
