Hey @near_intents! The $ZEC network upgrade is successfully done, but Zcash swaps are still completely down. @zodl_app support confirmed they are just waiting on your team to update your nodes to the new consensus rules (see quote). Any ETA on this? We want to trade! @NEARProtocol
NEAR will need to update their nodes after this hard fork. Node software with the remediation is publicly distributed following the full disclosure above. We're working closely with ecosystem partners and will keep everyone updated.

whenever zcash:native closes above $630 on a weekly its probably gonna double in 1 weekly candle its this cycles wif and sol combined, best from both: - no VCs - good tech, legit - easy narrative - no price ceiling - good liquidity

the thesis remains the same: unstoppable encrypted money zcash is the most effective way to protect our property rights, ensuring that control over our assets remains exclusively in our hands. only this way will the governments attempt to map our private wealth cease.

Zcash authorizes transactions with ephemeral, re-randomized keys, while the SNARK links them using symmetric primitives that are quantum-resilient. This means we can swap the SNARK at any time as quantum nears. User funds remain safely spendable throughout.

zcash will be best prepared for quantum and won't be close btw with quantum, there's not only a threat to stealing funds but also to breaking privacy and tracing past private activity due to the way most systems implement privacy, they are almost all vulnerable zcash i) is the least vulnerable because of its zk design not leaking any details, ii) already has a quantum proofing roadmap in the works today to be ready by summer

surviving drawdowns in equities is hilariously easy if you've lasted a few cycles in crypto tradfi lose their minds if stonks go down 10-20%, crypto ppl who've survived many -90% nukes don't even flinch, simply built different

In all honesty investing in stocks feels easy after 8 years in crypto I seen someone post 'I hate to say it but Mag7 companies will fall another 10% from here' -10%? Is that it? Not -90%? Not going to rug pull? Sounds bliss 🙏 Jokes aside, investing in companies with genuine fundamentals and figures to back it up is a lot more comfortable

it won't matter if you bought $ZEC at 200 or 600 when it hits 10,000 the difference will look negligible 1 ZEC = 1 ZEC

Zcash $ZEC has matured into an institutional-grade asset, and the mining infrastructure should match. Today we announced Foundry's Zcash Mining Pool, launching April 2026. Compliance-first, institutional-grade infrastructure built by the team behind the world's #1 Bitcoin mining pool, coming to one of the most important privacy-preserving networks in the industry. 🔗Read the full press release here: businesswire.com/news/home/2…

Your privacy is only as strong as the crowd you're hiding in. Most privacy tools encrypt your data and transactions, but encryption alone doesn't create anonymity. That takes a crowd. This is the mechanic behind Zcash's Orchard pool. When you spend a shielded note, you prove it exists somewhere among millions of other notes without revealing which one. The larger that set, the more indistinguishable your transaction becomes. Millions of notes make probabilistic attacks meaningless. The anonymity set only grows because every shielded transaction adds to it permanently. The pool of notes you're hiding among never shrinks. As the pool grows, so does the anonymity set and the privacy it provides. Stronger privacy attracts more users, and more users bring more capital. This is already happening in Orchard where the pool has grown to millions of notes.

the next big bitcoin narrative is zcash private, perfectly fungible, and hard for institutions to get with upcoming quantum and scale upgrades and if they do wanna get it, they need to help with privacy regulation. win-win the last PvE
What will be the next big Bitcoin narrative? - Post-cycle maturity where BTC is fully embedded in the financial system with an emphasis on relative value instead of big retail-led gains (not as appealing to retail). BTC becomes a normalized as an uncorrelated asset and becomes a useful part of a multi-asset portfolio (seems unlikely given current market moves) - Anti-surveillance reserve assets where BTC becomes the asset you own precisely because it sits within a murky legal perimeter and outside official rails (But again, BTC now looks pretty entangled with politics rather than outside of it) - A yield play as restaking infrastructure gets built up (but multiple layers tend to fragment and confuse the potential new buying base. People just want a simple "Bitcoin will yield X% story" as opposed to something about L1/L2/wrappers etc.) - Something about AI - Nothing

Amid an ocean of pessimism and nihilism in the market, the thesis for Zcash has never been stronger. Exit taxes. Asset seizures masquerading as wealth taxes. Rising authoritarianism. Communism. Infinite fiat inflation. Capital controls. Surveillance states. People need a private store of value. What are their options? - Bitcoin: Fully transparent. Dalio won't touch it because "all transactions are public", making it a non-starter for central banks. Saylor and core devs are completely ignoring quantum risk. - Gold: Private and untraceable, but physical, confiscatable, and doesn't work for a digital economy. Try crossing a border with it or sending it to someone online. - Monero: Decoy-based privacy with an anonymity set of just 16. Japanese police traced it to arrest 18 people. - Tornado Cash: Mixers are a flawed model, AI makes timing analysis trivial. You can't actually use funds while they sit there. - Aztec: Great tech but not lindy and not an SoV, they are tackling a different (important) problem: private compute. Zcash offers battle-tested cryptographic privacy with an anonymity set of millions of notes, is ahead of anyone else on quantum preparedness and has nearly a decade of operation under adversarial conditions. The entities contributing to Zcash are all well funded ecosystem is growing rapidly with new entrants like @cypherpunk, @ebfull's Tachyon, etc., backed by the people you'd want backing it, including @naval, @tyler and @cameron, @balajis, @mert, among others. The forces driving demand for private money, be it infinite fiat inflation, asset seizures, surveillance states, capital controls, exit taxes, authoritarianism, or quantum risk, aren't going away. They're accelerating. This is a generational thesis, Zcash is not a trade. Act accordingly.

i genuinely dont care if the candle is red or green my conviction stays the same $zec is the ultimate private asset privacy through encryption not obfuscation zk by default selective disclosure when needed quantum-proof future-forensics resistant time > timing zcash

if you're uncertain but bullish privacy, just get both (or neither until you build your own conviction) imo my money personally is on zec because it uses the strongest encryption guarantees known to man, will be quantum proof (so you won't be able to retroactively decrypt past activity), and has a massive surge of new talent carrying it now xmr uses things called ring signatures to hide 1 real transaction among 15 decoy transaction, zec encrypts everything so there's no obfuscation necessary to begin with. I feel pretty uneasy about obfuscation because in theory you can have someone introduce a bunch of decoy transactions on purpose to give you the illusion you're hiding in a crowd with pure encryption, there's no such risk they have different network effects, xmr is used for payments on darknets and it's better at that, and zec is more used as a private store of value akin to bitcoin with similar tokenomics (and also zcash pioneered zk and zk was quite hard to use in the early years so it never took off until now, now that the tech has caught up) zcash will soon get a 100x performance upgrade and has a few new core teams working on a bunch of exciting things which will make it much better suited for payments going fwd finally, some ppl might tell you silly shit like "zcash is optional privacy" but it's actually optional transparency since new coins are born private and the wallets shield by default imo this is necessary because it's a trojan horse for growing the shielded pool and gaining adoption for the asset to scale to planetary scale instead of it remaining a niche on internet corners (first line of cypherpunk manifesto: privacy is not secrecy. it is selectively revealing oneself to the world) so while I can't tell you what to do, this is what im doing

zcash's past is full of dumb errors via crippling bureaucracy and leadership only recently, the project has been revived through an infusion of talent, product focus, and ruthless execution this took it from no 100 to top 20 next up is top 5 and encrypted money for all
