Okay, so yesterday, @rocketspouse and I went out to lunch at our favorite local Mexican restaurant. I've been working like A LOT and didn't feel like cooking.
So, we sit down, we're having a nice lunch, only one other person in the place, a retired gentleman.

Your baby doesn’t need screens. 📺
Your baby doesn’t need expensive “educational” toys.
Your baby needs you. Your time. Your love. Your undivided attention.
Watch this little one’s eyes as he interacts with his dad. They never once leave the most beautiful sight he knows: his parent’s smiling face.
This is how the brain is wired. This is how attachment is formed. This is how children learn to speak.
No phones. No distractions. Just your baby and you. ❤️

I would easily be 20 pounds lighter if I didn't face the delicious, er, overwhelming burden of eating all of the food my daughters are inclined to waste.

I noticed that the Icelandic tradition of Jólabókaflóðið just made it into the US dictionary this year. ❤️📕
ALT A screenshot of an entry from dictionary.com for the word "jolabokaflod" — meaning "an Icelandic tradition in which books are given as Christmas presents and opened on December 24."
And yes, I did notice this via an article called "We just added new words to the Dictionary" — which isn't something I'd routinely browse but it is now.
I love that Martin Short has been trending all day because some rando wrote a vapid hit piece about him and everyone is speaking up because actually Martin Short is one of the funniest, most professional and likable entertainers in the history of show business. 💜😂🍿🎩🎉
Kathie Lee Gifford once asked Martin Short about his wife "are you still in love?", not knowing she died a year ago. He said "madly in love". When asked why he didn't correct her, he said he didn't want to embarrass her on live television and that his answer was the truth anyway.
