Inspired by @repmatthall's HEAT plan, so I’ve written my own: The Humane & Ethical Adolescent Transportation plan also known as #HB5514 by @repcavitt that will ensure youth are treated with dignity and care during transport to treatment - something I was not afforded as a teen. I am moved by New Zealand Prime Minister's formal apology to survivors who were abused in institutions. It is refreshing to see a country try to take some accountability for what happened to its young people in their care. I would be honored to work with @chrisluxonmp and the @NZParliament on their initiatives. As a survivor myself, I hope my legacy is ending institutional child abuse globally 💙❤️
