If you're building a startup that a lot of people misunderstand but you hold a deep insight that seems like it will obviously come true, you should be really optimistic. That is the best possible scenario for your company—you know something people don't know and is unpopular.

What the hell is going on in downtown SF? 😳 I’ll tell you… Here, once again, many of the most intelligent, hard working, creative, entrepreneurial spirits in the world are coming together to build the future. San Francisco, and the greater Bay Area, are proving again, to me, and to the world, that this is THE hub for technological and business innovation. The startups and companies being created right here, right now, will impact all of our lives. I won’t sugarcoat it. SF is working through issues. More slowly than I’d like to see. We can and we MUST do better. I’ll probably write more about that in the future. And, despite what some techno-optimists will say, I personally think that there WILL be downstream challenges from Artificial Intelligence that we as a society better get a head start on working through. I’ll probably write more on that as well. But today, I want to celebrate a group of builders that I’m incredibly impressed by and grateful for.
