Quantum Data Energy $QDE.L valuation - Our temporary 350bps risk premium remains in place, reflecting audit disruption and delayed reporting rather than any change in business fundamentals. Key catalysts now are audited accounts, timeline clarity, and trading restoration. Quantum Data Energy (QDE.L) has taken a major step toward resolving the uncertainty created by Crowe’s last-minute resignation. Parker Russell UK LLP is now appointed, the FY25 audit has restarted, and the path toward results publication and trading restoration is back in motion. No public s519 explanation, no evidence of operational deterioration, and no change to underlying fundamentals—attention now turns to audit completion and readmission to market. An interesting detail: Crowe resigned as QDE’s PLC auditor but continues to act for the company’s SPVs (presumably because it could not find cause to resign)? Meanwhile, Parker Russell has now taken on the group audit, helping restore momentum toward completion of the FY25 accounts. ACFMorningMeeting - Spaced Race. SpaceX $SPCX starts trading today after the biggest IPO ever, raising $75bn at $135/share and a $1.77trkn valuation, while Trump’s Iran peace-deal tease has crushed oil to two-month lows. Asia ripped, Europe opened strongly, and whilst this is still hope and SpaceX IPO excitement, it is not peace in the bank (yet, notwithstanding breaking news). Opens - Europe / UK - sharpkly firmer indicated. USA ftrs ve after Wall St rally. Asia strong, led by Korea and Japan. $STOXX $FTSE $FTMC $DAX $CAC $DJI $GSPC $IXIC Stock Watch - SpaceX $SPCX is the market event. Tesla $TSLA and Alphabet $GOOG watch for read-across / ownership optics. AI and IPO animal spirits are alive, but flag rotation risk for yourself as investors make room for $SPCX. Healthcare still has a live UK angle: Spire $SPI deadline extended and GSK $GSK still digesting Nuvalent $NUVL. Commods - Brent $88.3 bbl, WTI $85.8 bbl, GOLD spot $4,182 toz. COPPER $6.35 lb, still rich. COCOA $3,798 MT, still heavy. Data Focus - UK GDP -0.1% in April, but 0.7% over three months, Keir Starmer UK defence credibility crisis, probably is the last stumble. Michigan sentiment later. Today’s real equation: SpaceX animal spirits plus oil relief versus whether the Iran deal is actually real. This is a storm, not the end of a cycle. I’m staying firm. The hard asset cycle likely has much further to run. For perspective: Previous commodity supercycles unfolded during periods when the dollar was tied to gold, debt burdens were far lower, and globalization was accelerating. Those were fundamentally different environments. This cycle is being driven by monetary debasement, record leverage, fiscal excess, and the most significant wave of geopolitical fragmentation since the WWII. Not the time to be shaken out of one of the most important macro theses of this decade. tavicosta.substack.com/p/the…

Today was a good reminder of this chart. It's remarkable that miners are still printing free cash flow even with metals trading at deeply oversold levels. Act accordingly. substack.com/home/post/p-201…

See @Mayhem4Markets repots below on SpaceX relative valuation, it is sobering - At the end of market fashion booms many companies lose around 98% of their value, the majority of which never recover much of that. It does not mean the boom does not deploy capital that changes the world, it just means that in that process a vast amount of capital is also completely wasted. ACFView

Iran and Hormuz - interesting development as first thing this morning Iran said it was reviewing and that it would not give way on red lines...which frankly, did not sound that promising, so the nature of the deal will be of interest, has the US (read POTUS) effectively been worn down?
BREAKING : US President Donald Trump suggested that a deal could be signed as early as this weekend, stating that negotiations had reached the highest levels of Iran's leadership and had gained support from regional powers. 🔗 Read the full update here: share-talk.com/what-happened…

Oil caught between conflict & fundamentals: $WTI @ ~$91/bbl as traders weighed Trump's threat of fresh strikes on Iranian energy assets against rare UAE-Iran talks. Supply flows remain intact, but falling US crude inventories and Singapore fuel stocks at 2013 lows support prices.

ACFMorningMeeting - Space - The Final Pricing Frontier. SpaceX prices tonight, Oracle $ORCL has reminded everyone AI is not free, oil is back near $95, and Europe is trying to trade higher through a global tech wobble. The tape is not risk-on; it is risk-selective (which means stock picking rather than index trading). Opens - Europe / UK - modestly firmer in cash, but cautious. USA ftrs mixed. Asia weaker as tech sells off. $STOXX $FTSE $FTMC $DAX $CAC $DJI $GSPC $IXIC Stock Watch - SpaceX dominates media channels with the IPO spotlight. Oracle $ORCL is the AI capex warning after its post-close slide. In Europe, Hugo Boss $BOSS.DE jumps on Frasers’ takeover approach, Wizz Air $WIZZ.L rallies on profits, while easyJet $EZJ.L and Lufthansa $LHA.DE are hit by oil. Healthcare still live after GSK $GSK / Nuvalent $NUVL offer. Commods - Brent $94.6 bbl, WTI $90-91 bbl, GOLD softer, COPPER $6.22 lb, still rich but cooling. COCOA $3,744 MT, still heavy. Data Focus - ECB day, U.S. PPI, UK debt auctions. Market equation: SpaceX animal spirits versus Oracle capex reality, with oil and rates still putting holes in buoyancy. Defence - European Defence sector, an ACF favourite since Trump first made legitimate critiques on NATO kit and cash - What's to like at Defence Holdings $ALRT.L? It is a UK-based software-led platform for modern warfare/defence (not tanks) which is software, AI, digital infrastructure. $ALRT key activities include AI-driven military intelligence, Cybersecurity, Autonomous systems / drone tech, power grid protection, telecoms and ports protection. So its 'miltech' without a silly Lord of the Rings like boy-in-bedroom name $PLTR Anduril. So quite a lot to generate interest/worthy of further research in $ALRT. ACFView
Defence Holdings is today, proud to announce a partnership with @Oracle in support of the Defence Holdings Accelerator Programme. Under the partnership, Oracle will serve as the programme's hyper scale cloud partner. #ALRT $ALRDF 🧵

Agreed with @Mayhem4Markets analysis and caution - see below
If it wasn't for open-weight models, the large AI companies would already have full control. It would be 100% opaque and gatekept. Fable 5 is a preview of that incredibly dystopian future. It becomes reality if open-weight models do not continue to advance. It's also a dangerous future for national security. To let a handful of companies completely control AI. We can't let that happen.
