One of the biggest takeaways from the @rightresponsem Conference came from @Eric_Conn and @ADRoblesMedia. They essentially said:
You don’t need to find the most “based” pastor, the most right-wing pastor, or even one who agrees with you on everything. What you need is a pastor who has your back, someone who will stand with you. So when you say something that’s more right-wing or “based,” they won’t turn on you or cave to the mob when they attack.
The left (for the most part) can’t actually cancel you. It’s when people on your own side give in to the demands and start attacking you too that you’re truly canceled.

I have heard this contradiction a thousand times.
1. Pastors can't have friends at their church. It's lonely work.
2. Pastors must have accountability.
Why is this absurd? Real accountability requires real friendship in proximity. The lonely pastor, generally, is not good at being a friend and has bought the lie, "Nobody understands."
Pastor you can have friends and you don't have to be lonely.
