The UK has one of the most valuable #genomic datasets in the world - with one million genomes sequenced.
#Blockchain is the consent and provenance layer that makes federated genomic collaboration architecturally possible - and commercially compliant.
An estimated 1.8 million medication errors a year go undetected in NHS England at points of care transition, when patients move between hospital and community, or between hospital settings, costing around £17.8 million and >40 deaths:
𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 because we couldn’t access GP records at the weekend.
That should never happen in a modern NHS.
Labour built the NHS in difficult times. Now, in difficult times once again, we must be bold enough to modernise it.
We cannot afford to keep looking the other way.
We must go big on giving patients more control, go big on embracing technology, and go big on building an NHS fit for the future.
Patients deserve better. NHS staff deserve better. The technology exists.
Now we need the courage to act.
This coming week, we will remember the life of Queen Elizabeth II, 100 years on from her birth.
Her Majesty lived through an extraordinary period in world history. As Monarch, she comforted the nation in difficult times, and was often at the centre of celebrations and moments of national pride. We look back at some of the historic events which marked her reign, and made her a constant in many of our lives.
🇬🇧 Yesterday, the BBA delivered an exclusive Blockchain Masterclass for #MPs, #Lords, and members of the @APPGBlock.
🏛️ Most politicians think about the next election. The best think about the next generation. Blockchain and digital assets are the defining technologies of that generation.
➡️ Fewer than 5% of UK parliamentarians have publicly spoken or engaged on blockchain or digital asset technologies in Parliament, according to the latest research conducted by the BBA.
🎤 The workshop was delivered and coordinated by BBA President, @DrNaseemNaqvi.
