Do heart transplant patients always need invasive angio to screen for graft vasculopathyโ“ ๐Ÿ“œauthors.elsevier.com/a/1lWfAโ€ฆ In this meta-analysis, CTA/PET had pretty respectable sensitivity/NPV for ruling out graft vasculopathy compared to a gold standard of invasive angiography.

1/4๐Ÿงต In patients undergoing cardiac stress testing w/ PET, does rest flow matterโ“ In an analysis of >8k patients, we find that it does, esp. in patients with a preserved EF. Link๐Ÿ“œ: doi.org/10.1093/ehjci/jeaf13โ€ฆ @almallahmo @MariaAlwan_ @MyASNC @MethodistHosp @EHJCVIEiC

Our hypothesis was that an elevated amount of myocardial blood flow at rest, which PET can measure, would predict adverse event rates. And it did, esp. in patients with a normal EF at rest.

Patients with a normal-ish EF could be further stratified as being at a *truly* low-risk of events or at intermediate risk depending on their rest flow. In contrast, patients with a depressed EF had a uniformly high rate of events regardless.
