This is a wonderful thing to see.
We need to immediately start scaling these kind of technologies to mass market vehicles, which will require at scale hd maps, order of magnitude reduction in sensor costs and use of more sensor modalities than "just camera or just lidar".
It's still too hard and expensive to make hardware in the USA. PCB fab is roughly 10x the cost at low volume, takes 2x as long (including overseas shipping) and quality is only there for the best vendors. Plastic molds aren't even available past the size of a kids lunchbox. Ugh.
Billing for medical shouldn't have "uncertainty". WTF is this, everything with pricing says "may" except that they will send you a bill....in 2 months. But if you buy it now, it's only $200?!
This is an interesting video for a lot of reasons. It's curious if this is a localization against the map issue or a control issue. If it's a pose issue, it shows why HDmaps based on single modal sensing (lidar) can be misleading.
Good News: @Cruise AI Cars have learned so much that their cars are completely self driving in Austin with no people/follow car
Bad News: They learned from Austin Drivers (most likely BMW drivers)
Watch this AV miss the inside lane, outside lane and then drive in the bike lane
This is similar to the stupidity of Daylight Saving Time, at global scale: Leap Seconds.
The elimination of leap seconds couldn't come soon enough for us who care deeply about time.

These ev tax credits are so stupid. Why are the price caps so much higher for trucks/SUVs? All energy today comes from somewhere and moving more mass uses more energy. Sounds more likely legacy auto can't make electric cars that don't suck.
