Still zero tankers over the extremely upset #GiffordFire this morning. Tanker availability will be slim today with multiple large incidents within the region. Gonna be interesting as this fire moves into the Garcia wilderness with zero fire history.

Fire activity continues in California: The Sandy Fire continues to eat away on the Southern portion of the fire. Crews and heavy equipment are engaged.
A new start called the Bain Fire in Riverside county, is very active and evacuations have been ordered. The fire is burning in the Santa Ana River bottom, off Limonite Ave. 6 air tankers are on a no divert order due to property and life threat.
And additional 25 engines have also been ordered. Thanks to subscriber Jake Klatt for sharing this footage.

This is my view of the #VeronaFire, Air Tankers 71 and 85 just got overhead.
Multiple Ground Resources are enroute to the Fire and the Requested Copter still hasn’t been Filled.
Evacuation Orders have been Requested for Zones RVC-1285, 1286.
Evacuation Warnings have been Requested for RVC-1185.

#VeronaFire The Fire is 4-5 acres, Moderate - Dangerous Rate of Spread, with a Structure Threat to the South, with a North Wind on it.
Air Attack 310 is overhead and Requesting 2 Air Tankers and 1 Type 1 Copter.

VCFD along with Oxnard Fire and VCSO is on scene of a small, single engine aircraft that crashed into a drainage in the area of Carmen Drive and Lucero Street in Camarillo.
Firefighters successfully extricated two patients from the aircraft. Both were transported with severe injuries in critical condition to a local hospital.
The aircraft did not collide with any structures in the area. Firefighters are remaining on scene to address and mitigate any remaining hazards. Notifications have been made to the FAA.
