President Trump has been clear in both his public statements and private conversations with Netanyahu that he wants Israel to drastically scale back its attacks on Lebanon and stop striking Beirut. His recent Truth Social post is consistent with that. His primary focus is the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. He does not want developments in Lebanon to disrupt a potential agreement that could lead to the reopening of the Hormuz Strait: Gordon Gray, former US diplomat
