Today we did it. Mississippi passed a bill that fully eliminates our income tax over the next 15 years and I cannot wait to see @tatereeves apply his John Hancock. This movement started a decade ago and wouldn't have happened without Former Speaker @PhilipGunnMS. @RussLatino also played a key role when he was with @AFPhq & @EmpowerMS, authoring research and helping to find common ground between the Senate and House to get us to a lower flat tax. Big reforms always require both chambers and this year @DelbertHosemann & @SenatorHarkins kept their eye on the prize. But it was the unwavering resolve of @tatereeves, @JasonWhiteMS, and @tlamar44 who kept pushing, kept making the case for the transformational power of eliminating Mississippi's tax on work, that got this done. Let no one say Mississippi cannot be bold when bold action is required. Proud to be a Mississippian today and every day.
