Today marks Assemblyman James Gallagher’s final day in the State Capitol before he heads to Washington, D.C., to be sworn in as a member of Congress representing California’s North State.
James has been a friend and mentor, and while I will miss his leadership and counsel, I know the people of Northern California will be well served by someone who never loses sight of the communities he represents. From helping Paradise recover after the devastating Camp Fire to fighting for farmers, water reliability, and rural communities, Congressman-elect Gallagher has always been a tireless advocate for his district.
I wish him the very best as he begins this next chapter of public service.
