I was contacted recently about this initative. I am by no means an expert on exactly why the Spanish translation has been in limbo for so long (although it appears to be a legal/rights issue) but it is a massive shame for all the Spanish witcher fans out there. I want to do my small part in bringing this to everyone's attention. We are all united by this series!
We’ve uncovered what’s happening with The Witcher books in Spanish.
In our interview with José M. Faraldo, the translator of the saga, it’s revealed that Andrzej Sapkowski’s agent is the one blocking the situation.
