Also, give the fantastically ambition in scope and astonishingly detailed audio drama recreation of the life and films of Val Lewton, “Shadows: The Val Lewton story.”
The final episode touched a few personal nerves.
I’ll always recommend that people watch more Val Lewton films.
If you are in the spooky Halloween mood and looking for something to listen to that is both entertaining and educational then you can do no worse than “The secret history of Hollywood - A Universe of Horrors.”

Do you listen to the podcast The Secret History of Hollywood? Done by a Brit with a great voice, he does various long form series, one of which is Shadows about Val Lewton. The episodes concerning Boris are so lovely. He seems to have been a truly wonderful person
May I recommend another terrific Old Hollywood podcast, The Secret History of Hollywood, in particular his series about Val Lewton, Shadows. Beautifully done by the U.K. podcaster Adam Roche
Do you know the podcast The Secret History of Hollywood by the wonderful @Audiojoe? He does long and short form episodes and he did a series on Val Lewton called Shadows, in which the 7th Victim episode is heavily about Jean Brooks. It will break your heart.
If you close your eyes you can’t tell them apart. Have you listened to the Shadows series (about Val Lewton) on the Secret History of Hollywood podcast? Beautifully done by @AudioJoe, a British podcaster. He talks about Tom Conway and it will break your heart
Paul, if you like podcasts, a good one is The Secret History of Hollywood - Shadows about 11 episodes. It's the story of Val Lewton, the director of among others The Bodysnatchers. Great stories about Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi.
