My last job was working for a home care company that catered to special needs, and end of life. The two clients who had the biggest impact on me personally were these two guys who had a little place in an apartment complex.
We had to wait for the next shift to arrive before we could even leave, so constant care. I was baffled at how the general public acted toward them when we'd be out doing things. It was nuts. I have the utmost respect for anyone who's done that type of work because it's SO mentally tough.
End of life care is no picnic either. Being in the room when someone takes their last breaths is such an impactful experience. It forces you to confront things we as humans don't like to🧠about. Kudos to you.
I used to work with special needs children.
Every child is a gift.
God doesn’t make mistakes.
We are meant to grow through the love & care we give to special children.
Aborting your baby because it has Down’s syndrome is throwing away a life & a lesson your soul needs.
