Yesterday I joined @CNBC Squawk Box Europe to talk about what's really happening in the legal industry right now. This isn't disruption in the traditional sense. It's expansion. With our technology, more legal services are being done, not fewer. But the way they're delivered is changing fundamentally. We're seeing our clients hire more lawyers. Organizations are rethinking how they price themselves, how they staff matters, and what it means to do great legal work. @WeAreLegora exists at the center of that shift. Our EMEA expansion across Madrid, Paris and Italy reflects this growth in demand, and our conviction that the teams moving now are the ones that will define what the furure of legal work looks like. Thanks to CNBC for having me.

Brendan has one of the clearest views of how AI will shape labor economics, where the frontier is going, and how enterprises are adapting to the changing landscape. Was awesome to have him in the office for a conversation. We are big fans of @mercor_ai!
After working with both frontier labs and enterprises across industries, @mercor_ai CEO @BrendanFoody joined our CEO @ypatil125 to discuss why proprietary data and custom models are what keep a company competitive at the frontier.

The biggest opportunity in AI isn't building models. It's being the person who understands the business problem and the tech well enough to connect them. More from @btaylor and @Rivian CEO @RJScaringe on @CNN: cnn.com/The1on1

Today, I'm excited to announce that @WeAreLegora has acquired Cadastral. Cadastral is an AI agent platform built specifically for commercial real estate, trusted by JLL, AvalonBay, Equity Residential, and Empire State Realty Trust. In just over a year, they've signed 50 firms and grown revenues by 40% per month on average. Why CRE? Because it may be the most legally intensive industry on earth. Acquisitions. Leases. Refinancings. Disputes. Every deal produces a wall of documents that demands precision. Legal teams here have never had AI built for them, until Cadastral. Co-founders Abe Somani and Aman Dhesi and their NYC engineering team are joining Legora, and planting the flag for our first major US engineering hub. We're building toward 200 people in New York and 300 across North America by end of 2026. This is our fourth acquisition this year. The thesis is consistent: Legora is an agentic operating system for legal work wherever that work happens. Law firms. In-house teams. And now the industries that create the most complex legal work in the world. CRE is next. It won't be the last. Welcome, Abe, Aman, and the Cadastral team. Full story: legora.com/newsroom/legora-a…

Sierra just hit $200M in ARR. It took seven quarters to get to $100M, and only two more quarters to add our next $100M. Proud of the team and very grateful to our customers and partners.

Sierra just hit $100M in ARR, just seven quarters since we launched in February 2024. @claybavor and I are very grateful to our customers and proud of the Sierra team, who has redefined the meaning of intensity and craftsmanship. I have never had this much fun in my career. (Photo is Clay signing the contract that crossed the $100M mark) sierra.ai/blog/100m-arr

Another decade long journey! @s2o and @hungryblank started Contentful in Berlin but always had global ambitions. In 2016, they started building out GTM in SF. In 2019 they brought on @sm_sloan to lead scaling from 10s of ARR to nearly 200. And then 2 years ago, they brought on @krrau who lead 6 quarters of reacceleration, transformed the product for AI and, with this, set the company up for the next decade. As always, the startup journey is full of twists and turns, and it was awesome to watch this team navigate it all.
We have signed a definitive agreement to acquire @Contentful, a leading headless and composable content platform. 🚀 Upon close, we’ll enhance Agentforce with a native, enterprise-grade content layer – helping customers dynamically orchestrate and deliver personalized experiences across every channel. .@cerebras is now running Kimi K2.6 - the leading trillion parameter open source model - at ~1000 tokens per second in enterprise trials. 6.7x faster than the next-fastest GPU cloud. 10x faster than Claude Opus. 3x faster than Gemini Flash 3.5 (Google’s latest fast model). A coding task that typically takes 3 minutes finishes in under 6 seconds on Cerebras. This is what wafer scale was built for.

The @cursor_ai team shipped Composer 2 and now Composer 2.5 on the same Kimi K2.5 base model. Performance benchmarks are📈. Frontier quality and open-source economics. 85% of the compute powering these gains came from RL. Fireworks powers the RL rollouts. Learn more about rollouts here: fireworks.ai/training-rl-rol…
Introducing Composer 2.5, our most powerful model yet. It's more intelligent, better at sustained work on long-running tasks, and more reliable at following complex instructions. For the next week, we’re doubling the included usage of the model.

I’m so fucking proud of this team. They took an extraordinarily difficult technical swing with wafer-scale and connected on the first try. Then they spent years grinding through packaging, cooling, compilers, frameworks, early customers, and everything else required to turn a technical breakthrough into a real company — swinging and missing and learning and trying again. Most importantly, they stayed clear-eyed about what they had (a technical marvel) and what they didn’t (enough advantage in training), saw the opportunity emerging in inference, and adapted. That kind of persistence — not to be confused with stubbornness — is incredibly hard to describe, but absolutely essential in the unstable substrate of AI. The requirements of AI today will not be the requirements of AI tomorrow. But this team will keep figuring it out. And I’m here for it.

I constantly feel both proud & fortunate to work with Eric; he represents the type of partner we all aspire to be to entrepreneurs (in good times and bad), and no one deserves today more than him, @andrewdfeldman, and the whole Cerebras team. Just the beginning!
.@benchmark co-lead the initial round for Cerebras 10 years ago. Over the following 5 years, the team amazed, delivering the technological marvel of a wafer-scale chip, the system to heat and cool it, and more recently the software layer that allows giant fleets of Cerebras systems to work together for very large MoE models. But even more impressive, is they just never fucking quit, despite kissing death like 3 times, getting made fun of for unusual early customers, and getting passed over by virtually every respected semi investor (who have all converted now). The team knew, IF they could stay alive, it was just a matter of time…. In tech, speed ultimately wins, and nothing is close to as fast as Cerebras.

So fired up to be backing Sam Blond and the team at Monaco. If you know Sam you know he's special and that he was just made to build this company. Monaco is the sales product I would have wanted at Lattice...a CRM with a clear north star to make startups more money.
We're announcing our $50M Series B led by Benchmark. Founders Fund and Human Capital are tripling down in the round. We gave Benchmark a sneak preview of our upcoming GA release. They saw the future of sales. We had a term sheet 2 hours later. The future of sales is Monaco.

This is an excellent podcast with Harry and Patrick on how sales and go to market has changed with AI applications. Legora has built one of the most formidable teams in AI. Must listen.
Jude Law generated $50M in sales pipeline. Legora is onboarding 50 people every 14 days. 3.6 per day! $100M in ARR in 18 months. $275M by EOY 2026. Wow. Paul Graham described them as “ the most impressive startup I've been to visit in years.” I sat down with @WeAreLegora's CRO, I took some notes and have added them below. 1. Implementation Change Management Success is defined by change management, not just software. Legora focuses on helping customers adopt AI into workflows, which is fundamentally difficult. You must lead the customer through the “hard yards” of organizational change. 2. Why FTEs are Required in Enterprise High-end AI needs human experts. Legora uses Forward Deploy engineers and former attorneys, known as Legal Engineers, to bridge the gap. They solve the “blank page” problem by showing exactly how a workflow looks with agents. 3. Throwing out the Traditional Sales Playbook Old SaaS held demos back. Now you must demo early to show the future. Reps must be audible ready, asking deep questions and building agentic workflows off the cuff during the meeting. AI literacy is low, so the product must lead the way. 4. Brand Awareness as a Performance Driver Brand awareness is a powerful driver of business, not “fluffy bullshit.” A campaign with Jude Law generated over $50M of qualified pipeline in one month. In category creation, if you are not “in the room,” you lose. 5. Price Integrity over Free Legora does not give software away. If a customer is not spending money, they will not commit the resources needed for change. Price integrity ensures both parties have skin in the game and value the partnership. 6. Scaling Talent at Unhinged Speed Legora hires 40 to 50 people every two weeks. Immersive training in Stockholm gets reps ready to sit on calls by week two. They use AI to score demo quality, identifying within 45 days whether a rep will make it. 7. The Lulucast vs. The Bet Your Life Forecast Effective forecasting requires two perspectives: the rep and manager commit, or the bet your life number, and the Lulucast, which is the weighted math version. Accuracy depends on tight entry and exit criteria for every sales stage. 8. Momentum and Pressing the Advantage Product-market fit is unwavering. When you have it, you know it. When you find something that works competitively, document it and press the advantage. In an unhinged market, you must play defense and offense simultaneously. (links below)
