This World Environment Day, we reflect on the actions helping shape a more sustainable future, at Biocon. We have reused and recycled over 90% of waste and achieved 73% renewable energy adoption through green energy partnerships. Through our responsible operations and a sustainable corporate commute program, we have avoided nearly 193,337 tons of CO₂ emissions, while also supporting community-led initiatives such as tree plantation drives and lake rejuvenation projects. Our continued focus on sustainable practices has translated into external recognition across leading global sustainability and industry platforms. Biocon secured 17th position among BW India’s Top 60 Most Sustainable Companies 2025 and has been included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook for the fourth consecutive year, alongside winning the Excellence in ESG Award at the ET Re Pharma Awards 2026. Our manufacturing sites have also been recognized for excellence in EHS and industrial safety practices. These outcomes are guided by a clear purpose: responsible innovation is shaped not only by science, but also by how we operate, collaborate and champion sustainable practices to create long-term global impact. Image credit (slide 5): The Hindu (June 4, 2026) #Biocon #WorldEnvironmentDay #Sustainability #ESG #Biotechnology #ClimateAction #Volunteering #Recycling #CarbonFootprint

Melanoma is one of the most serious forms of skin cancers, with global cases projected to rise by more than 50% by 2040 according to a study published in JAMA Dermatology. However, the Skin Cancer Foundation states melanoma is highly treatable when detected early, with survival rates exceeding 90% in many early-stage cases. Advances in treatment are also improving outcomes for many patients. Melanoma can begin with subtle changes in the skin. Dermatologists recommend paying attention to the ABCDE signs of melanoma: asymmetry, irregular borders, uneven colour, diameter larger than 6 mm, or an evolving shape or size, itching or bleeding. These signs can help support earlier detection and timely medical attention. Listen to your skin. Notice the changes. Early awareness can help ensure better outcomes. Sources: JAMA Dermatology: jamanetwork.com/journals/jam… American Academy of Dermatology Association: aad.org/public/diseases/skin… Skin Cancer Foundation: skincancer.org/skin-cancer-i… #MelanomaAwarenessMonth #SkinCancer #Melanoma #SkinHealth #Biocon #ListenToYourSkin

In the May cover story of @FortuneIndia, @kiranshaw reflects on over four decades of building Biocon — from pioneering industrial enzymes to becoming a global biosimilars leader. A journey defined by reinvention, innovation, and the courage to take bold bets where others saw uncertainty. As Biocon looks ahead to its next chapter, the focus is clear: high-value biotech innovation, powered by emerging technologies such as AI. In the same feature, Shreehas Tambe outlines the three strategic priorities shaping Biocon’s next phase of growth: integrating technology platforms to unlock scale and efficiency, embedding augmented intelligence – AI amplified by human intelligence – to accelerate innovation and enable smarter decision-making, and transforming Biocon into a stronger global market-facing organisation. With the launch of Office of Augmented Intelligence and enterprise-wide investments in data digitisation, Biocon is building an ecosystem where human expertise and AI work together to unlock new possibilities in biotech innovation. As Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Shreehas Tambe share in the story, the future of biotech will belong to those who can combine scientific ambition with technological intelligence. #Biocon #Biosimilars #AIinHealthcare #AugmentedIntelligence #BiotechInnovation #KiranShaw #Biotech #India

"Biocon closed FY26 on a strong note despite a complex geopolitical environment. We delivered margin expansion along with 13% YoY growth in operating revenue, excluding the one-time impact of generic lenalidomide sales last year. This performance reflects the resilience of our business and disciplined execution through a pivotal year of integration. We have created a unified biopharma entity by integrating biosimilars business with generics formulations and APIs business. The combined business has a stronger balance sheet, improved leverage metrics and a more global commercial footprint. We are now focused on profitability enhancement and long-term value creation.” – @kiranshaw, Executive Chairperson, Biocon Limited #FY26results #Q4FY26 Read more: lnkd.in/gceZmHjP

“FY26 was a pivotal year for Biocon, marked by the successful integration of our biosimilars and generics business to create one unified biopharmaceutical enterprise with greater scale, capability, and reach. Even as we integrated the businesses, Biocon delivered ~200 basis points of EBITDA margin expansion at a consolidated level on a like-to-like basis, driven by an improved product mix and operational excellence. Our biosimilars business recorded 16% YoY growth in revenue and 40% increase in EBITDA, on a like-to-like basis. Growth was led by strong performance in advanced markets and key tender wins across emerging markets. With the integration now complete, we shift gears in fiscal 2027 from the “Preserve” phase of our strategy to “Consolidate”, as we set up the business for sustainable growth.” – Shreehas Tambe, CEO and Managing Director, Biocon Limited #FY26results #Q4FY26 Read more: biocon.com/biocon-q4fy26-rev…

Bengaluru just got a new soul — and you can see it the moment you land. At the Arrival Forecourt of Terminal 2, Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, “Bengaluru’s Soul,” a striking new cultural landmark by critically acclaimed Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, now welcomes the world. The installation was unveiled by H.E. Juan Antonio March Pujol, Ambassador of Spain to India, in the esteemed presence of Mr. Priyank M Kharge, Honourable Minister for Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, and Information Technology & Biotechnology, Government of Karnataka, with @kiranshaw, Chairperson, Biocon Group, and @HariMarar, Managing Director & CEO, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), in attendance, alongside artist Jaume Plensa. More than an installation, it is a statement—a reflection of a city that has evolved beyond its identity as India’s tech capital into a global crossroads of culture, ideas and dialogue. Supported by Biocon Foundation India, the sculpture represents a deeper commitment to Bengaluru’s growth, not just in science and innovation, but in spirit. From rejuvenating lakes to strengthening urban ecology, advancing public health and enabling community development, the focus remains clear: building a city that is as thoughtful as it is forward-looking. Because shaping a global city is not just about infrastructure. It is about nurturing its soul. @BLRAirport #Bengaluru #CulturalIdentity #Biocon #UrbanTransformation

Eye inflammation is often overlooked. For people living with uveitis – an inflammatory eye condition – symptoms such as blurred vision, eye pain, redness or sensitivity to light can appear suddenly and become a persistent problem. If left untreated, uveitis can cause serious complications such as cloudy lenses, retinal damage and, in severe cases, partial or permanent loss of vision. Despite its impact, awareness remains limited. On World Uveitis Day, start conversations with medical professionals that can help recognize early warning signs. Together, we can shine a light on this disease and encourage people to seek timely care. #WorldUveitisDay #SeekHelpForUveitis

Few leaders grow with a company long enough to transform it. Fewer still lead its defining chapter. From Management Trainee to Managing Director, Shreehas Tambe’s journey at Biocon is a story shaped by science, scale and self-confidence. Nearly three decades ago, he joined Biocon as a young scientist driven by a belief that innovation must ultimately serve those who need it the most. Over the years, he helped scale businesses, build global manufacturing capability, and expand Biocon’s footprint—always anticipating what patients and healthcare systems would need next. That leadership came into sharp focus with the transformation of Biocon Biologics. As CEO and Managing Director of Biocon’s largest subsidiary, Shreehas played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Viatris global biosimilars business, and the architect who built it into a fully integrated company catapulting Biocon Biologics into the world’s Top 5 biosimilar companies, with a valuation of over ₹50,000 crores (USD 5.5 billion) in 3 years. Today, as he assumes charge as the CEO & Managing Director of Biocon Limited to lead our combined generics and biosimilars business, Shreehas stands at the helm of yet another transformation. The next chapter is to build a fully integrated global medicines company that will compete and win on leveraging technology, scale and reach. From MT to MD - this is leadership shaped over time, and built for what comes next.
