This is an incredibly important point. I demonstrated the substitution among high schoolers and young adults here: rodutobaccotruth.blogspot.co…. The fact that smoking has almost disappeared is indeed a huge public health victory.
For those inclined to misrepresents this chart and punt a moral panic about the 6.11 million vapers (34%) who have never smoked, please be calm. Most of these are part of a huge win for public health - young adults who would have defaulted to smoking in the absence of vaping.
You should wave goodbye with your wallet to the American @LungAssociation because its specious claims contribute to the untimely deaths of the smokers it feigns to help tinyurl.com/2p9tvywu
