Decoupling Commandments: 1. The US and China are decoupling. The US and the free world will be defeated and vassalized if we pretend this isn't happening.

Unitree is a Chinese military company, as laid out in a Select Committee letter last year and confirmed by the Pentagon this week. Its robots are used by the PLA, advance China’s ambitions, and threaten our robotics industry. Americans — from companies to universities — should not be working with Unitree or buying its products. Chairman @RepMoolenaar’s GUARD Act will ensure Unitree’s robots are banned from America. cnbc.com/2026/06/01/nvidia-u…

Boston is home to Ginkgo and the American biotech industry. Today, our CEO @jrkelly wrote in @BostonGlobe @GlobeOpinion about why that field is under threat — and what policymakers and industry leaders can do to protect it. His proposal: Add biotech to the COINS Act and pair it with an affirmative agenda to keep Massachusetts and the U.S. the best place in the world to discover, test, manufacture, and scale new medicines and biotechnologies.  Read his op-ed here: hubs.la/Q04kzpNd0

The Magnets Value Chain Support Act, bipartisan legislation introduced by Chairman @RepMoolenaar and Ranking Member @RepRoKhanna, would create tax credits for the entire magnet supply chain and incentivize magnet production in America. Magnets are in motors, generators, industrial robotics, guided munitions, advanced defense platforms, and much more. Worldwide permanent magnet demand is projected to more than double by 2035, and China produces more than 90 percent of the world's rare earth permanent magnets. This legislation will help create a secure supply chain for American magnets.

PRC is now suggesting export controls on biotechnology from China to US -- this is exactly why the US should not continue with the short-signed offshoring of our biotech R&D industry to cheaper scientific labor in China. @IAmBiotech should support the BINSA Act from @RepMoolenaar and @RepDebDingell to add biotechnology to the COINS Act and protect our domestic biotechnology startup industry. Biotech is national security and we should not offshore such a critical technology! Believe in our ability to innovate in the US @IAmBiotech ! Chairman @RepMoolenaar and @RepDebDingell have introduced the bipartisan Biotech Investment National Security Act (BINSA) to stop the alarming surge of American investment into China’s biotechnology sector. The Chinese Communist Party is an antagonist, not an ally, to American pharmaceutical production, manufacturing, and national security. This legislation will subject American investment in Chinese biotechnology to the review requirements of the Comprehensive Outbound Investment National Security (COINS) Act. When Pfizer and Bristol Myers partner with Chinese biotech companies, their deals imperil the future of American drug innovation. We must not allow American investment, expertise, and technology to offshore our biotech industry.

For too long, our political class treated efficiency as a substitute for resilience and consumption as a measure of prosperity. Trade policy, industrial capacity, and national security are inseparable. And to allow foreign dependencies to degrade any one of those domains is to allow them to define America’s future. Under @POTUS’ leadership, we are rebuilding domestic production to restore American sovereignty.

Washington is now treating the smart TV as a national security problem. 60% of the world's TVs are made in China. Hisense TCL — both state-owned — hold ~25% of the US market. And your set captures what's on screen 2x/sec, then sends it home. New WireScreen briefing 🧵👇 wirescreen.ai/briefings/smar…

Chairman @RepMoolenaar is leading with action. Alongside @SenatorBanks, he introduced the Securing Innovation and Research from Adversaries Act to block taxpayer-funded research from flowing to entities tied to China’s military and intelligence networks. The bill bans federally funded collaborations, including joint research, data sharing, and personnel exchanges, with anyone on U.S. government restricted lists, closing loopholes that have allowed sensitive technology to be exploited. Today, Chairman @RepMoolenaar and @RepDebDingell introduced the Connected Vehicle Security Act. The legislation would prohibit the importation, manufacture, and sale of connected vehicles, software, and hardware linked to China. The Connected Vehicle Security Act builds on the work of two administrations. In 2019, President Trump signed an executive order declaring a national emergency with respect to foreign threats to America's information and communications technology supply chain, establishing the legal authority for the federal government to act. The Biden Administration used that authority to finalize regulations in January 2025 prohibiting connected vehicle software and hardware linked to China and Russia. The Connected Vehicle Security Act expands those protections in statute. More here: chinaselectcommittee.house.g…

"We're all-in on hardcore US manufacturing." @adampbry says after China sanctioned @SkydioHQ and "tried to kill" their company, they built "the most secure drone supply chain in the world, independent from China." "If you roll back 12 years—basically all drones and drone components were made in China. We made a very contrarian bet in 2014 when we started U.S. manufacturing." "A year and a half ago, we had the great honor of being sanctioned by the Chinese government. It was a pretty aggressive action." "They announced the sanctions and then showed up at the suppliers that we still had in China, shut them down, stopped them from doing business with us, and really tried to kill us."
.@adampbry says DJI almost acquired @SkydioHQ in 2014, but Skydio turned them down because DJI didn't understand autonomy: "We met their leadership. We visited China, Shenzhen, and ultimately decided not to do it." "The main reason we decided not to was because they didn't really understand the importance of autonomy and how much that was going to change who could use drones and how they could use them."

.@RepBrianMast: If U.S. companies won’t sell out to China, we should expect our closest allies’ companies like Dutch chip equipment manufacturer, ASML, to follow our lead. That’s what true partnership means. We must not hand over the tools China needs to overtake America on AI. @RepBaumgartner’s MATCH Act will ensure that we work with our allies to cut China off from these vital technologies.

Chairman @RepMoolenaar is backing the bipartisan Multilateral Alignment of Technology Controls on Hardware (MATCH) Act to close gaps in semiconductor export controls. China has exploited misalignment with U.S. allies to access critical chipmaking equipment, and this bill ensures those loopholes are shut. Thank you to @RepBaumgartner for his leadership on this legislation. chinaselectcommittee.house.g…

This new Chinese AI model was built on PRC-made chips. China will never be addicted to an American tech stack. Selling advanced U.S. chips only helps the PLA catch up. Once China can achieve independence from U.S. chips, it will dump U.S. companies. reuters.com/technology/china…

“Deindustrialization was not inevitable.  It was a conscious policy choice, a decades-long economic undertaking that stripped our nations of their wealth, of their productive capacity, and of their independence.  And the loss of our supply chain sovereignty was not a function of a prosperous and healthy system of global trade.  It was foolish.  It was a foolish but voluntary transformation of our economy that left us dependent on others for our needs and dangerously vulnerable to crisis.”
