I've been on this site for a long time. Don't assume older tweets reflect current beliefs. Also: you have committed treason against your creator, and have a infinite debt you can never repay. Repent and place for faith in the sacrifice of Jesus as your only hope of salvation.

Very excited to read this novel about mercenaries destroying the Chinese fishing fleets It does raise the question: when will we finally have enough and deal with these problems? The Cantonese are sterilizing entire swathes of the oceans, crawling over them like locusts and vacuuming up everything that lives, wiping out ecosystems with their massive fleets so that they can feed pigs "raised" in dystopian skyscrapers back home Right now, "international law" prevents dealing with this tragedy of the commons even as it destroys national (responsible) fishing fleets, puts such wonders of nature as the Galapagos at risk, and causes immense harm Mercenaries are one way of fixing this, privateers are another Either way, it looks like if we are to fix this, it will be because we're headed back to the 16th/17th century style of doing things, where states didn't necessarily want to fight openly but did want to harm each other, and so let private parties do it while claiming ignorance Such could at least save the oceans
The Chinese are raping the oceans with their Tyranid hive fleets, pillaging the territorial waters of South America and daring governments to do something about it. What if someone did? What if someone hired mercs to fall upon them in the night like wolves of the sea? What if someone wrote a novel about that? @frank_kidd_1 did just that, and it's fucking great. Here's my review.

Again for those in the back, Elon once offered to cut a check for $6 BILLION to the WFB to "eliminate World hunger" as they said the money could. His one condition was that the accounting was public. They did not accept.
Elon Musk dismantled USAID programs that provided lifesaving assistance to millions of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. The human cost was enormous, while DOGE’s net fiscal impact was inconsequential. Now, as Musk approaches trillionaire status, he should commit/tithe at least $100 billion to a fund dedicated to combating extreme poverty, hunger, preventable disease, and humanitarian crises worldwide. Money alone cannot undo the damage already done. But if this moment marks an unprecedented personal financial milestone, it should also be an opportunity for an unprecedented act of restitution. Musk has the resources to save and improve countless lives. He should use them.

honestly hilarious watching the tech nerds meltdown over this. Anthropic's strategy to regulatory capture the AI industry and use government powers to crush their small-scale competitors backfired hard. Whoops!

Call their bluff. Close all local UK operations, so that no employees or corporate officers can be arrested. Refuse to comply, and dare them to geoblock. Without Google and Apple, the UK economy would probably collapse. It isn't so much that those services are crucial (although they are), it's that Britain is already on the fiscal brink and all it would really take is a little push. I'm sure blocking the Internet would go over really well with the British people, too.

It’s so amazing how literally every single left wing instinct and policy is just universally wrong and bad
Throwing more money at public schools, even doubling teacher salaries, has virtually no effect on student outcomes.

It's kind of amazing that for 2 years roving gangs of leftists walked around society tearing down public monuments and lighting things on fire, and it got absorbed into the background of society and treated as though it were just another unremarkable feature of everyday life.

They’ll terrorize their own people in broad daylight, but can’t seem to stop the grooming gangs or the beheadings. Starmer’s Britain isn’t broken. It’s working exactly as designed, against its own.

So I can tell that this whole list is incorrect based off of the very FIRST point being a lie. “Charlie Kirk said gay people should be stoned to death.” Fact Checked: This is a widely circulated out-of-context quote, misrepresented for ill-intentions. Context: In June 2024, Charlie was responding to a clip of Ms Rachel citing the bibles command to “love thy neighbour” to justify support for pride month. He argued that she was cherry-picking scripture, as the second half of that same biblical section is Leviticus 18. The following is the direct quote from Charlie: “By the way, Ms Rachel, you might want to crack open that bible of yours— part of that same scripture is that thou shall lay with another man shall be stoned to death.“ Charlie was demonstrating how people cherry-pick biblical passages. He did NOT say “gay people should be stoned to death today,” he did NOT call for violence, and he did NOT advocate for enforcing this ancient law in modern America. For this reason, you have lost all credibility and it’s assured every other point will be backed by a falsehood as well. Do your research folks— don’t be like this guy. ❤️

I understand now why yay isn't in the official repos (still annoying)
ppl need to understand that the aur is a seperate storefront that you opt into it has a bunch of warning signs and you have to get a whole new aur package manager like yay or paru not built into most distros because of the aur being a security concern pacman isn't the aur,,

python-future? Oh boy we're getting close to home now Inevitably some knuckle head will say Nix fixes this. Maybe it does, but also how? If its vast library of packages is official instead of community, how can they possibly take the time to vet them and also ensure they work?
The AUR (Arch Linux User Repository) is continuing to be flooded with malicious code. As of this writing, the Arch team has found at least 1,579 malicious packages (roughly 1.4% of all packages within the AUR), with more packages being updated with malicious code this morning. This includes several popular utilities and libraries, including: gtkimageview, gdl, libgdata, and python-future. A partial list of impacted packages can be found here: md.archlinux.org/s/SxbqukK6I…

in the 1990s, the US government classified 128-bit SSL encryption as a "munition" under ITAR, putting it in the same legal bucket as missiles and tanks. As a result, Netscape and Microsoft had to develop two entirely separate versions of their web browsers:
