What do patients wish they had known when they first heard the words, “you have cancer”? In this powerful conversation, three cancer survivors share what it was really like to navigate diagnosis, treatment decisions, and immunotherapy - often without the guidance or support they needed. Their experiences helped shape Hope in Action: A Patient’s Guide to Cancer Immunotherapy, created to help patients and families feel more informed, supported, and empowered from the very beginning. If cancer has impacted you or someone you love, this discussion offers honest insight, reassurance, and hope from people who have lived it. @CancerResearch Watch here: oncodaily.com/voices/immunot…

Think of the dark proteome like a room full of mystery keys. Most keys in the body are well labelled and we know what they do. But these dark ones? No labels. No instructions. Meet the ILLUMINE team on the hunt to discover whether (and how) these dark proteins influence some of the toughest cancers. Learn more about ILLUMINE 👉 youtube.com/watch?v=vYYhnrTd… --- ILLUMINE is funded by @CR_UK, @theNCI, @CancerResearch and KiKa (Children Cancer Free Foundation) through Cancer Grand Challenges.

A holy grail for our lab has been tracking myeloid cells in human tumors in the same way that we track T and B cells with TCR/BCR. @vincentzliu and @CalebLareau solved it! We developed Mitotrek using scATAC-seq mitochondrial DNA to do exactly this. Using Mitotrek, we find that new myeloid cells clones constantly infiltrate the tumor via circulating monocytes — and that their macrophage or dendritic cell fate is epigenetically programmed before tumor entry. @10xGenomics @parkerici @CancerResearch @TheMarkFdn cell.com/cancer-cell/fulltex…
