Sorry to rain on your premature victory parade @LucyMPowell but this whole farrago is an unnecessary distraction from doing your jobs as politicians. It’s only happening because of the overweening ambition of Mr Burnham, whose self promotion is equalled only by his mediocrity.
Our whole movement has come together in Makerfield. Great to join @labourunionsuk, activists and PLP colleagues on this crucial weekend before polling day on Thursday for @AndyBurnhamGM . Only Labour can defeat Reform’s toxic politics, and represent working people. @fbunational @CWUnews @AngelaRayner

🧐🤔YOU WANTED A WALL, TRUMP? YOU’LL HAVE ONE. Mexico’s president, Claudia Sheinbaum, responded to Trump’s threats: “So you voted to build a wall. Well then, dear Americans — even if geography isn’t your strong suit, and you see America as a country rather than a continent — you should know that on the other side of that wall stand 7 billion people. And if the word ‘people’ doesn’t resonate with you, let’s call them ‘consumers.’ Those 7 billion consumers can switch from iPhone to Samsung or Huawei in less than two days. They can trade Levi’s for Zara or Massimo Dutti, and within six months replace Ford and Chevrolet with Toyota, KIA, Mazda, Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, Subaru, Renault, or BMW — brands that are already more popular in many places. They can cancel DirecTV. And even if they choose not to, they can stop watching Hollywood films and turn instead to higher-quality productions from Latin America or Europe — with richer storytelling and better filmmaking. Believe it or not, people can skip Disney and visit the Xcaret resort in Cancún instead — or explore destinations across Mexico, Canada, or South America. Even in Mexico, you can find better burgers than McDonald’s — with higher nutritional value. Have you ever seen pyramids in the United States? Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, and Sudan have ancient wonders — none of them in the U.S. If they were, Trump would probably have bought and resold them by now. We know Nike isn’t the only sneaker brand. There’s Adidas — and even Mexican brands like Panama. We understand economics better than you think. And we also know that when those 7 billion consumers stop buying American products, unemployment will rise, and your economy — trapped behind its own self-imposed wall — will begin to collapse to the point where you’ll be begging for help. We didn’t want to do this. But you wanted a wall? Well. You’ve got one.” Her approval rating has reached a historic level — according to a recent poll, it stands at 85%.

Israel is destroying every single home in the southern 40 miles of Lebanon. This is not “targeting Hezbollah strongholds.” These are Christian villages and Sunni villages and Shia villages where people have lived for centuries.

Nigel Farage has just re-instated this man into Reform UK. Let that sink in. Britain is better than this.

Well done, Gove.

Anyone with legal knowledge able to explain to me why Nigel Farage,Tommy Robinson,Mr Musk & others have not been arrested by police for incitement to riot? Incitement to riot is a criminal offence.I'd really like to understand why they have not been at least questioned/cautioned.

How has Trump managed to force the Epstein files off the agenda? Why is there no proper investigation into Farage’s financial affairs? Who is Zia Yusuf - is he an elected MP? When will Tommy Robinson be jailed for inciting racial hatred? What has happened to decency in Israel?

Should we all be asking ourselves what Tommy Robinson is doing with Elon Musk's dad at the exclusive Metropol Hotel in Moscow right now?

Fucking NHS. I woke up this morning with some trouble in my eye. Called the optician. Had tests. Sent straight to hospital with a torn retina. They insisted on giving me laser surgery there and then to fix it. Didn't want any money for the job. Now I'm home again. How inconsiderate. Joking aside. Remember there are people out there who want to dismantle the NHS.

One of the main signs of dementia is unwarranted aggressive behaviour. This demented, aggressive & cruel man is a disgrace to his office. And the fact that his sycophantic supporters in and outside the senate and house allow him to remain is even more disgraceful. 25th amendment
THIS ⬇️ is why we have a free press. To all our journalists out there—and especially our women journalists (we see you!)—don’t stop asking the hard questions! 💅

The pretence that you are holding these awful people to account while continually platforming them & their hateful divisive politics makes the BBC slightly more vomit inducing than Reform . That’s quite an accomplishment.
After criticising Reform UK for ignoring the wishes of Henry Nowak's family and politicising the death of Henry Nowak #BBCLauraK gives Muhammad Ziauddin Yusuf a solid 8 minutes to argue against Henry Nowak's family's wishes Then a further 2.5 minutes to criticise the police and the Sikh tradition of carrying ceremonial knives, stoking even further division in society

Has anyone in the press ever asked Zia Yusuf what he would have done about his parents being Sri Lankan immigrants? He’s only able to spout his anti immigrant vitriol because of the UK welcomed them in the 1980s. Surely it’s acceptable to ask him to explain his blatant hypocrisy?

This morning I asked myself, not for the first time, who is Nigel and I made some notes. And it does add up. Here is a man who sells himself as the ordinary bloke with a pint, the man of the people, the great outsider standing up against the establishment. And yet somehow this ordinary bloke always seems to arrive with a camera crew, a donor network, a friendly broadcaster, and now a parliamentary investigation into a £5 million gift from a crypto billionaire. Very normal. Very grassroots. Very “just one of the lads”. The peoples revolt, apparently, now comes with lighting, branding, fundraising dinners, professional outrage, and a small question about whether millions should have been declared properly. Everything is a betrayal when Labour does it. Everything is “nothing to see here” when Nigel does it. Housing? Blame Labour. The NHS? Blame Labour. The economy? Blame Labour. Boats? Blame Labour. A £5 million gift? Suddenly everybody must calm down and respect the process. And then came Tuesday. A young man died. A family was grieving. A country was trying to understand something horrific. And Farage stepped forward. Not with calm. Not with care. Not with responsibilty. But with his announcement of “pure cold rage”. That phrase matters. Because anger is human. Anger can be moral. Anger can demand answers, justice, accountability and truth. I understand anger. A lot of people are angry. They have every right to ask serious questions. But rage is different. Rage does not ask careful questions. Rage does not wait for investigations. Rage does not protect grieving families from becoming political props. Rage looks for a target. And that is where Farage always seems most comfertable. Not solving the pain. Not calming the country. Not asking how institutions failed and how they can be fixed. But standing beside the pain with a microphone, turning the temprature up, and calling it leadership. Warm enough to repost. Warm enough to donate. Warm enough to vote. But never calm enough to ask: “Hang on, who benefits from keeping us this angry?” That is the trick. He does not need Britain to feel hopeful. He does not even need Britain to feel informed. He needs Britain permanently one headline away from rage. Because rage is usefull. It fills rallies. It drives clicks. It turns grief into theatre. It makes slogans feel like solutions. And while everyone is shouting, nobody asks the boring questions. Where is the plan? Where is the funding? Where are the costings? Where is the responsibilty? Maybe that is who Nigel Farage is. Not the man of the people. But the man who knows exactly how to turn peoples pain into his own political stage. The Reform & Tory Sitcom continues. Same chaos. Different rosette. Anger can demand answers. Rage just sells tickets. If this speaks to you, please add your comments, repost it, and maybe follow me — not for me, but because politics needs fewer slogans and more people asking proper questions. #Farage #ReformUK
