I have closely followed the
#NottinghamInquiry and have been truly disgusted in the conduct of "professionals" and those in positions of power throughout.
Cover up after cover up.
Dismissal after dismissal.
Passing the book, failure to speak up, failure to act with decorum, empathy and candour.
Professionals acting with everything but professionalism whilst bereaved families and victims were sat in the room!
Why are we continuing to see these patterns?
Because this is the culture within our country!
A police force who tried to prevent the media from reporting on their failures, professionals who deemed that a dangerously violent man was so "calm and kind" that he was fit to live amongst us, and in turn those failures enabled him to violently attack time and time again, and eventually - murder and attempt to murder.
As a society, we need to start calling this out for what it was - Barnaby Webber, Grace O'Malley-Kumar, and Ian Coates were murdered.
This was not diminished responsibility!
How can we accept that his conviction is safe when our judicial system is so corrupt!
If the .
@NowHillsborough Public Office Accountability Bill, had been passed last year, as it should have been, it would have been in full throttle throughout this inquiry.
But it wasn't!
I call on .
@KeirStarmer to stop the dithering!
Get this Bill complete.
YOU are the Prime Minister.
This is YOUR pledge to fulfill!
Look these families in their eyes and tell them what the delay is!
I also call on the .
@attorneygeneral to pick up speed and complete the task in hand!
Why are we now 6 months on and still awaiting this amendment issue to be resolved?
@CoatesMania
@coatesaholic @MrsEmmaWebber @drsanjoykumar and their families deserve justice.
Each delay is a stain on the memory of every loved one lost, every survivor who speaks their truth, and every individual left behind in sheer devastation and disbelief that those who should have protected them, let them down in the most unimaginable ways!
