I keep hearing about others having very similar experiences being "managed out" of Automattic. javi.blog/2023/06/17/farewel… Two things: 1. It should never be a surprise. 2. If you're going to give a reason, you need to back it up.

As someone with very bad ADHD symptoms it’s hard to sympathise with the moral panic around stimulants. I know they’re super addictive to those without ADHD, but to me they’re the equivalent of caffeine Tik Tacs that only sometimes work on the days my hormones are balanced

What a sad sad mistake. And a great thread by the person who called out this bullshit.
Replying to @psychkes
(2/4) When this job description was originally developed, we had failed to consult those with lived experience, and we recognise that that was a mistake. We are genuinely grateful for the feedback that was received, as it allowed us to rectify our approach.

Really great thread that got me to think about holidays very differently.
Replying to @badachie
There's nothing Election Day as a holiday aims to solve that wouldn't be better solved with expanded access to mail and early voting.

I’d like to know, in this age of Twitter, whether you put the toilet paper roll on like a logical, kind, reasonable person or whether you are a psychopath who reaches “under” to pull the roll vs. the only properly correct way (pull from the top)
83% Over (good)
10% Under (chaotic evil)
7% I don’t care (but should)

There’s still SOME joy on Twitter and this is a prime example 😂
You know it’s cold outside when you go outside and it’s cold.
