As part of Maumee’s America 250 Celebration, we’ll be hosting an Alumni Flag Football Game at Richard Kazmaier Stadium on Sunday, September 13, 2026. It’ll be Odd Grad Years vs. Even Grad Years with hometown bragging rights on the line. This is a great opportunity to come back to the Kaz, reconnect with former teammates, celebrate Maumee football history, and make a few new memories with the next generation of Panthers. The Maumee Football coaching staff and current players will be in attendance, helping coach the teams, interact with alumni, and celebrate the proud tradition of Maumee Football. It will be a unique chance to connect past and present generations of Panthers in one place. The event is FREE and open to the entire community. If you’re an alum interested in playing, be sure to register using the QR code on the flyer. Once a Panther, Always a Panther. See you at the Kaz. @maumee_schools
Hey MHS Alums? Want to play flag football in this @America250 special event planned for September 13 in Richard Kazmaier Stadium? The registration form is now live! For additional details, visit the Maumee City Schools website: maumee.k12.oh.us/news_detail…

What an awesome night at the Kaz! We had a great turnout for our K-4th Youth Football Camp, with young Panthers learning football fundamentals, competing in drills, making new friends, and having a blast alongside our high school players and coaches. One of the best parts of the night was seeing our current players invest in the next generation of Maumee Football. From teaching skills and encouraging campers to building relationships, they did an outstanding job representing our program. Thank you to all of the campers, parents, coaches, and players who helped make the evening a success. The future is bright, and we can’t wait to see these young Panthers back at the Kaz soon! We are Maumee!

One of the best traditions of the summer. Last night, our high school and middle school football players, cheerleaders, coaches, families, and friends came together for the 4th Annual Cookout at the Kaz. It was an awesome evening filled with great food, games, competition, and plenty of laughs. Events like this are about more than football. They help build relationships, strengthen our culture, and connect every level of our program, from our middle school athletes to our varsity leaders. The bonds formed during nights like these are what make our program special. Thank you to everyone who helped organize, cook, set up, and attend. The continued support from our players, families, and community is what makes Maumee such a special place. The season is getting closer, and we can’t wait to get back under the lights together. We Are Maumee!

“You find out who you are when you are challenged”.
Tom Brady shares what he tells every college athlete he meets and it's not what they expect. "I hope this experience is hard for you. I hope it's not easy." "I hope today in this game you're losing in the 4th quarter and you look at each other in the eye and try to figure out solutions to how you're gonna win the game." "That's how you're gonna find out what you're made of." You find out who you are when you are challenged. Expect adversity. Expect tough moments. "Life is hard. The challenges of life are hard." "This program is hard. It's built on toughness. It's built on resilience. And that's what I wanna see from this team." You can't wish for easy or hope for easy. Adversity is a gift if you let it be. Our players put months of work into the weight room this offseason, and last weekend’s Lift-A-Thon showed the results. Proud of the growth our guys have made. Not just in strength/speed numbers, but in discipline, consistency, and accountability to each other. The standard continues to rise inside our program. A lot of impressive performances across the board, but what stands out most is the way our players continue to compete and push one another every single day. Thank you to everyone who supported our Lift-A-Thon and helped make the event a success. The future is bright for Maumee Football. #WIN #EARNIT

Another reminder this year to kids going to camps: Seeing some kids "camp schedule" list looking like a grocery list of 15 items. Schools are just taking your money. If you are a high school player right now looking to do camps: DO NOT GO TO 10 camps. Go to 3-4 camps and space them out and choose schools that have shown you the most interest at this point. Keep the main thing...the MAIN THING! Be with your team in the summer. Prepare for a great junior or senior year. PUT IT ON TAPE!! Pick 1 at the very most 2 mega camps Pick 1 "Prove you can play there" camp. Pick 1 " School has shown you the most interest.

We would like to recognize the following Varsity and Freshman players for achieving 90% attendance during our Spring Strength Training sessions. Their commitment, consistency, and work ethic throughout the offseason have helped set the standard for our program. Success is built through daily discipline, and these young men continue to represent Maumee Football the right way. Proud of the investment they are making in themselves and in our program. #WIN #EARNIT

This past weekend, our Maumee Football family came together for another successful Lift-A-Thon. We are extremely proud of the effort, competitiveness, and support our players showed throughout the event. Thank you to all of our families, donors, sponsors, and community members who continue to invest in our program. Your support plays a major role in helping us provide opportunities for our student-athletes. Looking forward to getting started on June 1st! #WIN #EARNIT

One of the most overlooked parts of preseason: Teach your locker room standards BEFORE the season starts. Don’t assume players just “know.” Show them: how gear should be hung up where helmets go how lockers are cleaned laundry expectations who handles cleanup what “done right” actually looks like Bring them into the locker room. Show pictures. Give examples. Walk them through it. Then remind them: A lot of players came before you and helped build this locker room. They wore the colors. They cleaned it. They respected it. They left it better than they found it. Now it’s your turn. Locker room standards may seem small… …but the locker room culture speaks volumes about a program. And it often times carries over to Friday night.

5 years ago I consulted with Winnsboro HS. coaches Josh Finney, Tyrus Jones, and Casey Samuels. They went 100% Feed the Cats. This morning Coach Finney called to let me know that his sprinter ran 10.02 winning 3A Texas. “We did tons of jumping and not much running!” ⚡️⚡️⚡️
18-year-old wide receiver Camden Capehart 🇺🇸 stormed to 10.02s (1.9) over 100m at the UIL 3A State Championships in Texas! Already committed to Mississippi State University to play football. His performance makes him US No. 7 all-time among wind-legal high school performers.
