UNSTOPPABLE 💥
Jonathan Simms of @UGATrack anchors the #NCAATF 4x400m to a 2:57.93 victory and the #4 collegiate performance ever with a 42.99 split just 80 minutes after his 43.92 runner-up finish in the open 400m.
CROWN HIM.
After breaking the world record, Auburn’s Ja'Kobe Tharp runs 12.90s to win the men's 110m hurdles NCAA title.
Texas’ Kendrick Smallwood moves to No. 2 on the all-time NCAA list with a 12.95 run.
Hayward is the home of hurdle greatness.
My first Team.
Hand freshman 2004.
Finished 7-3. Should’ve gone 10-0.
I ran the heck out of them.
Hit live every day.
No speed work.
Needless to say, we were not fast & fresh when it mattered.
Thanks to Tony Holler for showing me a better way.

Coaches are really good when their players are really good. Never forget that.
I’ve been in a semi final game as a HC and I’ve also been 3-7.
I can tell you with certainty the 3-7 year was a better coaching job.
People who focus solely on W/L will always miss the mark.
Jayden trying out the new training hurdles by prs athletic(they are awesome). Pretty good for a 7 year old, that was told just to run and jump,I’ll try and not mess it up
In 1999, I began to record, rank, and publish everything.
I had the best technology of the time (a stopwatch & Excel). I taped rankings to the walls of our pole-barn weight room. We were 4x1 state champs four of the next five years.
Measure meaningful things to make meaningful things more meaningful.
Les Spellman and @universal_speed have created a new world. The Feed the Cats Academy takes record, rank, and publish to the next level.
The academy is backed by trusted friend Dr. Ken Clark and the Speed Science Institute to ensure proper protocols are followed on data collection and scoring.
The Academy is open. 10 founding programs will be accepted. More will be accepted later. Apply now!

Ambitious rollout of the Feed the Cats Academy backed by @les7spellman, @kenclark, @KulaPerformance, and @universal_speed
Every athlete in the Feed The Cats Academy receives a single speed rating (0–99), ranked against the entire Feed The Cats community.
RECORD-RANK-PUBLISH will never be the same.
💥 Only ten schools will be accepted into the program this summer. Apply by June 18th. A network of FTC schools will be established. ⤵️

This is the part most don’t understand. It’s not just programming, it’s not just a system, it’s not just a place to train. Effective coaching requires people skills. The greatest training system on the planet will underperform if the person leading it can’t control a room.
“This young man is a product of tremendous genetics, but using Feed the Cats in the past 3 years, he went from high 14’s in hurdles to the fastest hurdler in TN, ever.” ~Coach Caleb Ingram, Rockvale (2023)
“This Kid would’ve never got to this stage without Feed The Cats. I would’ve never been able to keep him healthy enough or know how to train him to compete every day.” ~Caleb Ingram (today)
Ja’Kobe Tharp, 110 HH World Record (yesterday) 12.75
Speed begins with positional stability.
If you can’t own a position isometrically you’ll never express it dynamically. At least not to your full capability
