I participate in the UChicago Scavenger Hunt annually. In lieu of an on campus blood drive, there's an at home FLOPS drive: Donate cycles on your PC for COVID-19 (no supercomputers or clusters allowed). Help us win by running folding@home for my team, @gashscav, team ID 265387.

Awesome and busy day so far discussing @NIH_CommonFund #HuBMAP. Heard @NIHDirector talk to us about how single cell analysis is the next big thing in bio. @ngehlenborg @satijalab @GriffinMWeber @rheiland & @JCSilverstein have provided great insight!

I'm attending @combine_coord and have heard great talks by @dr_drae about metabolomics and @kieranjalden about confidence in evidence. I'm talking with @GolebiewskiM about multicellular models and hope to talk shortly with @andreshouse about medical data formats. #combine2018

I'm thrilled to working on this project! At @combine_coord today to discuss implications of this with data models and standards.
When I was a kid, I loved drawing maps. I'm so thrilled I get to work on the HuBMAP to create a biomolecular map of the human body, with the @NIH and the @NIH_CommonFund. Working with @katycns and @CompCancer to create a coordinate system to navigate this new map! @MultiCellDS

Last talk at #MechBio2018 is Gerard Wong (UCLA) who will talk about Surface mechano-sending in early bacterial biofilm communities.

Cells can remember the past by changing protein levels. FC2?

And the the memory can be passed down to future generations of cells (changes in motility). Lee et al PNAS 2018 doi.org/10.1073/pnas.1720071…
