The impacts are severe and multifaceted, requiring a coordinated and sustained response from national, regional, and international actors,” notes @HonAdenDuale, Cabinet Secretary @Environment_Ke, during the opening of the @AUC_PAPS Member State Consultation on the Development of the Common African Position on Climate Change, Peace, and Security.

.@MeteoKenya has today released the forecast for the upcoming October-November-December rainy season. Western Kenya is likely to see near to slightly above average rainfall, while central regions, some northeastern and southeastern areas, and the Coastal region are expected to experience below average rainfall with poor distribution. Temperatures will be warmer than usual in most parts. The Kenya Red Cross will closely monitor the situation and continue working with @MeteoKenya and other partners to co-develop climate information, ensuring communities are well-prepared through anticipatory action.

It was a great privilege to participate in the Synergy Building Training Workshop and Climate Information Dissemination. The workshop brought together experts from diverse sectors across the Horn of Africa and was organized by @ConferEU, @NORCAPweb & @IGAD_CPAC.
