In @NatureAging today, we suggest a potential driver: somatic mutations.

Did you know some corals spawn only once per year? Shedd scientists recently collected gametes and reared coral larvae aboard Shedd's research vessel, the Coral Reef II, to study how this crucial life stage of coral survives in warming oceans. #spawnathon
