Inspired by @BBCSpringwatch we wanted to highlight some of the native bird species that have made the Park their home. Each year, Blue Tits nest inside a Rhino post just feet away from our Rhinos. This year, a Long-tailed Tit family have moved in too. We’re absolutely thrilled!

Giraffes Enjoy Cooling Frozen Treats from Their Keepers.

Happy 15th birthday to our male Asiatic #Lion Rana. He has lived at the Park for 13 years now, with the company of our female Asiatic Lioness Kanha. Lions are very tactile creatures and Keeper James filmed this tender moment of the pair head rubbing. Happy birthday Rana!

Yesterday was our warmest day of the year so far— and one of the hottest April days in the last 80 years. To keep our #Penguins cool, Bird Keeper Laura switched on the sprinkler in the Penguin pool. This Penguin names Pea, couldn’t make up her mind - sprinkler or swim… or both!
