And one of the reasons that my husband spent 12 hours at A&E watching doctors and nurses stretched beyond reason yet still delivery fantastic care. This government should be ashamed. I donβt want to be 51st state of USA

The policies were at times vile but there was some decency and respect still. Remember that thing called the ministerial code where they resigned when something went wrong?

Absolutely . I marched against Thatcher & wonβt be sentimental because her policies were savage . However there was less gaslighting & it feels like there was less corruption . There was some actual link between MPs & understanding that people were meant to be represented.

This started with Cameron promising a referendum on EU membership to win an election. Two years after that promise he got the results and resigned. Everything that followed had nothing to do with anything except keeping the Tories in power, they've destroyed our country
