My re-rank of Senate flips, and I bet all 6 happen, in the following order: North Carolina; Maine (yes really, with Platner...Collins is widely despised now); Alaska; Ohio; Iowa; Texas (this one by a hair, perhaps not settled for days). South Carolina closer than expected.
This is a huge, huge deal in Ohio and Iowa. Those are states that moved away from the Democrats because of white working class voters. If those voters come back in 2026, those two Senate races become very winnable.

Co-sign.
I I’ll never forgive people who voted for Trump. This is on them. The Lincoln Memorial is hallowed ground. Where our greatest president, who gave his life to end slavery, is commentated. Where the Gettysburg Address is written. We live as graffiti now.

Doug Burgum is a great example of how Trump turns everyone around him into a painfully sycophantic hack. When Burgum ran for president in 2024, he seemed like a reasonably serious traditional conservative. Now he's on TV saying extraordinarily silly things all the time.
Burgum: "President Trump won the war militarily. Then he won the war economically ... diplomatically, militarily, economically -- three ways to win a war. Trump won all three of them."

Make no mistake; not allowing Trump to renovate the Kennedy Center saved it. This is what happens when he tries to “fix” things.
This is from a MAGA livestream today. The Reflecting Pool is VERY green and VERY disgusting 🤮🤮 Even on the worst days, I never saw it look this bad before.

Either this is an insane coincidence or she’ll be announcing that she’s stepping aside for independent Seth Bodnar — the former president of this school — to run 1:1 against Republican Kurt Alme.
KHQ: Democratic nominee for Montana Senate Alani Bankhead says she will be making an announcement at the University of Montana on Monday.

Agree. Betting odds are not predictive.
This seems like a buying opportunity on the other two candidates. He might win, but he's nowhere near that much of a favorite.

Not true, Bush 43 was in the 20s toward the end of his Presidency.
NEW: Trump’s approval rating hits 28%. The lowest for any president in U.S. history.

Agree with all this except we don't yet know the actual settlement terms, so we don't know how "favorable" they are to Iran. They probably ARE favorable to Iran, but we don't know yet.
It is true that Iran used its power over the strait to assume leverage over the US and eventually compel a favorable settlement. But this obscures what may be the more significant achievement: that after 40 days of bombing, Iran never lost the ability to both keep the strait closed and threaten regional infrastructure. Its missile cities still stand, its launchers survived, its drone/missile arsenal were depleted but, thanks to careful management, remain potent. In the end, Iranian missiles and drones proved more effective at accomplishing their mission than US TLAMs, F-35s, and strategic bombers.

There are no choices without Platner willingly dropping out. He won the primary easily and would have done so vs. an active Mills, and will not drop out without his polling vs. Collins collapsing, and perhaps not even then. It's best to end useless scholarly debates.
Dems have four strong candidates who all just attracted at least 20% in their governor primary. At least 3 of them won’t be the nominee. All have statewide followings & as I wrote 3 have deeper relations with the ME left than Platner. There are choices; ignoring that is a choice

LOL, even McEnany won't go along with this juvenile taunt.
REP. BRANDON GILL: This is a much more effeminate version of Beto O'Rourke ... this is somebody who is really obsessed with children ... I think of James Talarico as a barely straight version of Pete Buttigieg KAYLEIGH McENANY: We know Talarico has a longtime girlfriend and she's very beautiful

JUST IN: This Is A Pretty Stunning Detail From The Kennedy Center Fight. Rep. Joyce Beatty says she was the only board member who tried to stop Trump's name from being placed on the Kennedy Center. According to Beatty, the proposal wasn't even on the agenda. She says she joined remotely, attempted to object, and was muted before she could make her case. Beatty challenged the move in court, arguing the Kennedy Center's governing law did not allow the institution to be renamed after Trump. This week, a federal judge agreed and ordered Trump's name removed. Tonight, workers are physically taking it down. That's the story. Not just that Trump's name is coming off the building. That the board member who says she was silenced ended up winning in court.

My interview @cnni: From an Israeli perspective, the proposed U.S.–Iran agreement is seen as highly problematic. Critics in Israel argue that it could strengthen the Iranian regime, precisely the outcome Israel has long sought to prevent, while offering only uncertain or limited constraints on Iran’s nuclear program. There are also concerns that any final deal will not include meaningful restrictions on Iran’s missile program or its network of regional proxies, or that such provisions would be weak and difficult to enforce . At the same time, Israel’s ability to directly challenge or reshape the position of the U.S. administration is viewed as limited. As a result, Israeli policymakers are expected to act cautiously, particularly so as not to undermine the U.S. president’s efforts to reach an agreement. Strategically, Israel has tried to separate the Lebanese and Iranian fronts in order to manage regional escalation more effectively. However, this approach has had limited success so far. Overall, Israel’s capacity to influence the direction of U.S. policy on this issue is perceived as more constrained than in the past, given the dependence in the administration and President Trump. #IranWar‌

It really does feel like @SenOssoff and @jamestalarico are political "entrepreneurs" in creating their own personal brandings from scratch. @MalloryMcMorrow could've done the same and didn't know how, or didn't think to try.
McMorrow easily could be channeling Ossoff or Talarico if she hadn’t sold out her campaign to a bunch of DC consultants

Platner stans are fools and worse. But I cold-bloodedly want him, if he doesn't exit by July 12 which has potential only after a polling collapse, to defeat Collins, and I bet he will. GOP promises of "held oppo" ring hollow to me, they'll have nothing journos haven't found.
Troy Jackson? Hannah Pingree? Shenna Bellows? All have longer relations w/the Maine left than Platner does; all offer similar agendas; Jackson is more rooted in the working-class. None have Platner's baggage. At least 2, maybe all 3, will be available once gov primary is counted
