We have been losing far too many Black trainees, so the @natblackpostdoc created the Emergency Support Program (ESP) to provide support to those facing a career crises. Today: wishing we'd think more about the history and race/class purpose of the SAT when we talk about the SAT.
But expecting social scientists to disabuse themselves of the idea of quantifying "innate intelligence" is a fool's errand...

The SAT discourse often ignores results from a decades-long natural experiment by a selective college who did away with the test long ago. The school still found a way to find qualified students AND that lower SAT students did as well as higher SAT folks.
