There's five Conservative MPs in Simcoe County where Orillia is located, and five Ontario PC MLAs. It might be the biggest combined blue stronghold in Ontario.

This is the biggest problem with journalism today.
Through the federal government’s Online News Act framework and the CRTC-approved Canadian Journalism Collective, major outlets just received tens of millions of taxpayer dollars. Postmedia $10.3M, Bell Media $8.6M, Toronto Star $2.7M .
We wonder why government narratives get amplified and stories that used to dominate headlines are now ignored?
Of course newsrooms like CTV, Global, City and the rest will be careful not to bite the hand that feeds them.
Until this kind of politically structured funding ends, mainstream media can never be truly impartial - and therefore can never be fully trusted.
