This is an excellent example of how our pedestrian space has been taken over by so many others!! Build more roads and tunnels but for the commoner #Pune’s liveability will be defined by its walkability and green spaces!

Dear @narendramodi , You want us to use our cars less and walk more. I am willing. The only small challenge is surviving the walk. In Pune, the footpaths are often occupied, damaged, or simply non-existent. At many places, @MSEDCL departments have taken over pedestrian space. Before India becomes a walking nation, can we first make sure Indians have somewhere safe to walk? A footpath would be a good start. Btw JFYI, Pune is one of the smart cities where your govt burnt Rs 3333 Cr. @PMCPune @Dev_Fadnavis

Dear GCCs, If Pune is struggling to provide enough water for its current residents, how can it support thousands of new employees? Hence, Instead of adding more pressure on the city, consider expanding to places with better water availability and infrastructure. Also, when Fadnavis ji sign a new contract at Davos; ensure , there should be a written assurance that basic needs like water will be available for employees and businesses.

Many of my friends in the US on H-1B visas are now buying property in Dubai instead of India. A weak government looks for excuses. Using agencies like ED and CBI to instill fear is easy amongst your own citizens. Showing courage when citizens are harmed is what truly tests leadership.

If a UPSC question asks, “Who is the longest-serving Prime Minister of India?”, the answer would still be Jawaharlal Nehru; unless the question specifically states that only post-election tenure is being considered.
